"Never judge a book by its cover"

They say "never judge a book by its cover". The same can be said with regards to this hotel. Lovely rooms, first class meals and all at a excellent price. You are only a 5 minute walk to the town centre. Will be back

Not a good experience!

Turned up after booking about two weeks prior to find out the hotel had been closed for months and was being used as an asylum centre. I had to find alternative accommodation costing twice the amount

Hotel Cladhan is not a hotel - it is a aslylu

This is not a hotel for Guests anymore! This is an asylum centre for refugees. We could not sleep in this aslymu centre for refugees we were send away! The receptionist at this refugee asylum centre helped us by calling the Park hotel, where fortunate for us they were able to help us with a room! . Hotels.com is charging our card for stay at Cladhan hotel, when we actualy did not sleep there. And I can prove that we slept in the Park hotel at 5 to 6 of august 2022. I have made a request for refund of our money but that request was denied!! I am still hoping that Hotels.com take their responsibility and give us our money back!

Good location for my appointment. Very comfortable and clean room. Strange smell on entering the hotel which is open plan including the bar. Carpet was obviously very worn and suspect the smell came from stale beer soaked into the carpet! Breakfast disappointing.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. I had a refurbished room so I was very pleased with it (lovely walk-in shower). Only downside was the bed was small and uncomfortable......but I slept well so it can't have been that bad!

The property is close to the centre of Falkirk but situated close to a wooded area so while it is a short walk to the shops and cafes, the property itself is very quiet for one situated in a town.

Heerlijk geslapen!

De kamer zag er op het eerste gezicht netjes uit en maar wanneer je verder keek toch wat minpunten waaronder een loszittende wc-bril, remsporen wc en wat afval wat her en der lag. Toch lag het bed prima en was het verblijf goed. Ontbijt was ook prima!

Really liked that we had beds for three as we were traveling with our daughter. Breakfast was good and the room as very adequate. The beds were not as comfortable as many hotels we stay in. Only real negative was that the tub was not clean at all. My wife cleaned it well before taking a soaking bath.

A better than expected stay.

My daughter and I had a one night stop, to break our journey from Somerset to West Highlands. We wanted to see the Kelpies and the Falkirk Wheel. The Hotel Cladhan was better than expected, because the outside did not look very inviting ( judging a book a book by its cover). A very similar set up to Premier Inn. I would recommend this hotel. By the way, I don’t understand the heading “Type of trip”, it doesn’t seem to fit our visit.

Avoid!! Cold Rooms and No hygiene.

It was worse than what I have expected for a 3.5 stars hotel. Rooms are very cold and it was not provided any heaters. Clean towels were on the dirty floor, no hygiene at all. Breakfast was not good. Overall I would not recommend this hotel.

Not the best of experiences here

Disappointed to say the least. Stayed here twice before and standards are slipping. There were long hairs on the back of the bathroom door and a hairball in the loo. Shower was worse than useless. Bed was clean and comfortable. Service in the dining room appeared to be eat your meal and move on so they could get more in although the food was quite good. Was asked if we wanted the bill or anything else, not the other way around. Breakfast was very good so a big plus there. Pity about all the negatives.

Hotel was ok x would benefit it staff wore uniforms for a more professional Look. Staff were friendly but lots of slamming doors in the morning woke you up from guests. Dining room decor is dismal but food was lovely. Room fittings were a bit dusty and no shelf in the bathroom or door hangar which is a pet hate when you can’t put your stuff anywhere.
