We're sorry you had a bad experience. We are confused actually. We're a family run bed and breakfast and we have no accounting department that you talked to nor have we ever charged 2.9% for using a credit card. Everyone who books a stay here does pay a non refundable deposit equal to the first nights room charge and the balance upon arrival. All hotels in Fairbanks have an 8% bed tax. We wish you hadn't posted as anonymous because we have no recollection of who you are or the problem you described.

Hello, Our lodge is perfectly set on the summit so aurora viewing is great. Im glad you had a good time up here.

When this guest booked we did not have the room they wanted so I offered another, by the time i got the reply the room was filled and i had let them know via email. i assumed they went elsewhere when i didnt hear back. When they had shown up i felt awful for there situation i even called places near by so they wouldn't have to go back to town. Everything was booked solid, but i was able to get them a room in town. I hate having to turn people away, I cant imagine the frustration they must of had especially after getting there car stuck.
