"This was such a unique accommodation, fairly isolated but located so close to big attractions (like diamond beach/Jökulsárlón lagoon). We stayed in a cabin with a washroom, it was clean and quaint. We were able to park just outside of our cabin, you definitely need a car to stay here but if you’re looking at this accommodation I’d imagine you are aware of that. We left early in the morning so we didn’t have breakfast, it looked decent. Complimentary tea and coffee are always available near the front desk. I was in Iceland for 2 weeks, stayed here one night and arrived later in the evening, thought we missed all opportunities for dinner, and then realized their kitchen was open. I genuinely had the best meal of my entire trip here. The fish entree on their dinner menu was amazing, and all staff (including the servers were so attentive). Also very charming, a dog named Molly will greet you at your car and basically bring you to the entrance, super sweet dog with amazing temperament - she only wants you to toss rocks for her to fetch."

"Check-in is at a different location than the Cottage, so be sure to review the messages from the hotel before arrival regarding check-in location. We were the first guests to arrive for the evening. Our room was clean and tidy upon arrival, and so was the bathroom and kitchen/common area. The cottage was full and we were on the 2nd floor with 2 bathrooms. Each bathroom only had 1 bath mat, which disappeared after the 2nd person took a shower. (Each room should be provided its own bathmat, not 1 per bathroom. Besides ensuring we'd have use of a bathmat, it's more sanitary.) The bathroom doors/doorknobs were sticky and required a bit of "slam" to close, making it noisy for guests, especially those right across the hall. There should also be some indication where extra toilet paper and blow dryer are stored. When we called about it, we weren't told it was in the drawer below the sink (thought it was a false drawer so hadn't looked), but was told to look in the other bathroom. Not helpful. Other guests left food in the sink drain after cooking/eating. Sign should indicate to throw in garbage. The cottage is relatively old, even though the bathroom and kitchen area have been updated, and it sounded/felt like we were going to go through the floor when walking around in our room."
