"We loved this hotel! Definitely the most special place we have ever stayed. Like a real life Gilligan’s Island but with expensive provisions. The lagoon cottage is definitely the way to go and was a magical experience. We could see turtles and lobsters from our deck!
All food was delicious except for breakfast. I mean it was edible but expensive and nothing special. I ordered eggs benedict and there wasn’t any meat on it. We luckily had stopped at a grocery store in Ocho Rios for snacks, champagne, wine, and non alcoholic beer. This ended up saving a ton of money(although beer and wine are even expensive in the grocery stores in Jamaica). Most days we had a snack in the morning in our room then waited for lunch. Honestly though…lunch and dinner were DELICIOUS! Next time we go, I’ll bring large ziplock bags to keep snacks in since ants were a huge problem in our room. The front desk blamed the ants on our snacks, but we had ants on day 1 all over the bathroom and dresser even before opening anything.
Another concern and it may be a me problem(if you have to ask, you can’t afford it) but there were no prices for the mini bar, and we went to the BBQ/Fire dinner not knowing it was $125 pp until after we ate. Also-children were an issue and wish the Button Beach was adult only. We couldn’t find any peace from screaming toddlers so would not last long at the beach. Luckily our room had peace and quiet."
