Absolutely LOVED this spot. I would come to Estes park and easily only stay in ponderosa lodge, it was so cute, the fireplace was used twice a day, we LOVED it!

We love staying at the Ponderosa Lodge. quiet at night, river noise is pleasing, hot tub outdoors next to the river, & easy entry into RMNP on 34. Everything we want. Nice staff.

I loved my stay at the Ponderosa Lodge. The room was nicely decorated and cozy. The deck had chairs and a sky chair (swing) which added a nice place to sit and enjoy the sounds of the river flowing by. After hiking in the park, the hot tub was a great relief!!

The stay would have been pretty perfect if it weren’t for our upstairs neighbors. For some reason, they seemed pretty restless and every time they walked, it was VERY loud. It would be about midnight and then again at 4 AM, so it made it pretty hard to relax which was one of the sole purposes of the trip. Our check in was great, the gentleman in the office and the pup were extremely warm and friendly. The hot tub was an awesome feature and only steps away from our room. We got to enjoy it one of the nights. It is very conveniently located and I would definitely stay at this property again only that I would probably not stay in the lodge part. They had pots, pans, toaster, plates, mugs, shampoo, body wash and conditioner. It was great to be able to prepare some food in the room for our hikes. There wasn’t an iron - so bring a steamer if you need. Other than that - it’s quaint and perfectly situated.

Our room was very comfortable with all the necessary amenities. My kids enjoyed the board games we got at the front desk and the hot tub. The room upstairs sounded like elephants when someone walked around but it was a minor inconvenience.

The property was amazing, beautifully settled into the trees. The river outside our window was one of my favorite parts. Even through a snow storm we kept power and warmth and the staff was very helpful with making sure the parking was cleared as best they could so that we could get in and out. They were very nice and left us cookies in our room for our late check-in. Toward the end of the stay we experienced loud neighbors above us but that isnt necessarily anthing anyone could control. We had everything we needed in the cabin and the water always heated up quickly. The only thing i would say is maybe a topper for the matress as it was a little stiff. We will be back!

The staff was just awesome. The manager Darrell was excellent and my son loved his dog Aspen. The rooms were great. They have their own fireplace and everything one needs to start a fire. We had a valcony overlooking the river which was very nice. The room had a small kitchen with all kinds of pots and pans for your cooking. The utensils and plates were all very clean and they even had steak knives. They also have an outdoor grill if you wanted to cook outside. The room also have a nice table for 4 which is great. Many hotels don't give you that. The water pressure onnthe shower was great too. The only negative was the round toilets since we are used to the elongated ones. Well, my stay was awesome and would love to go back.

Cozy Getaway
Stayed at Ponderosa Lodge as we were in town for a friend’s wedding and had the most amazing time! I’d consider this wedding trip turned couple getaway. The lodge was quaint and cozy, such a perfect place to stay! We had a nice fire place in our room and the hot tub outside was the perfect place to relax after a long day. It was our first time in Estes Park, but we will definitely be coming back to stay here again! Thank you for such an amazing stay!

Wonderful warm cookies on arrival plus wood for our fireplace and twin bear cubs ten minutes before arrival made for an unforgettable night. Comfortable beds and nice hot tub on the river helped me check another line off my bucket list. Moose and elk early the next morning made this an excellent adventure. We stay near the park 4-6 times a year and we will be back.

We love Ponderosa Lodge!!
Wonderful experience at Ponderosa Lodge! Darrell and Katie were so friendly and accommodating and they went above and beyond to make sure our visit was special. We loved our cozy room next to the river and enjoyed the fireplace. Our room was immaculately clean. We highly recommend!

We loved everything about this lodge. Was on a honeymoon trip with my wife, we stayed there one night. My only regret is that I did not book us for another night. The front office was really nice and kind. The property is very clean and very beautiful. Our room was very spacious and very comfy, as well as clean. We loved ponderosa lodge! So quiet and peaceful. Extremely clean. The office staff were so kind and helpful. We got a LOT of snow the weekend that we stayed and even lost power for a few short hours and they made sure that we were informed and had hot coffee. The hot tub and river views were lovely and we will definitely be back.

The lodge is only minutes away from Fall River entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park. The hostess was super nice and helpful to provide information of the neighborhood. Will come back again when we get the chance.

Outstanding
It was a beautiful place to stay, outside of the hustle and bustle of town, with a beautiful stream right outside our room. We got to see a bull elk resting by the stream which was so awesome. They had homemade cookies for us, and their sweet dog Aspen is always down for cuddling. I would definitely recommend!!!!

Very relaxing Place !
I am having trouble rating this lodge. I'm thing you don't expect the same service at a lodge. The lodge is run by a very nice couple that go out of their way to help you anyway they can. They were very helpful giving information on the area. The room was clean everything worked and it was comfortable. There was room to improve the parking area and the roads in and out. We enjoyed our stay there and may do it again. It is very close to the park.

Really enjoyed our stay here. The location was perfect and a really short drive to the park entrance. The creek in the back was really nice and the staff was great. Say hi to the dog in the office, very friendly. The room was very comfortable. quiet and nice balcony to watch the water. Heard about a bear sighting and elk on the property prior to our stay but did not see any. My boys loved making a fire near the creek. Will definitely go back.
