I loved my stay at the Ponderosa Lodge. The room was nicely decorated and cozy. The deck had chairs and a sky chair (swing) which added a nice place to sit and enjoy the sounds of the river flowing by. After hiking in the park, the hot tub was a great relief!!

The stay would have been pretty perfect if it weren’t for our upstairs neighbors. For some reason, they seemed pretty restless and every time they walked, it was VERY loud. It would be about midnight and then again at 4 AM, so it made it pretty hard to relax which was one of the sole purposes of the trip. Our check in was great, the gentleman in the office and the pup were extremely warm and friendly. The hot tub was an awesome feature and only steps away from our room. We got to enjoy it one of the nights. It is very conveniently located and I would definitely stay at this property again only that I would probably not stay in the lodge part. They had pots, pans, toaster, plates, mugs, shampoo, body wash and conditioner. It was great to be able to prepare some food in the room for our hikes. There wasn’t an iron - so bring a steamer if you need. Other than that - it’s quaint and perfectly situated.

Our room was very comfortable with all the necessary amenities. My kids enjoyed the board games we got at the front desk and the hot tub. The room upstairs sounded like elephants when someone walked around but it was a minor inconvenience.

The property was amazing, beautifully settled into the trees. The river outside our window was one of my favorite parts. Even through a snow storm we kept power and warmth and the staff was very helpful with making sure the parking was cleared as best they could so that we could get in and out. They were very nice and left us cookies in our room for our late check-in. Toward the end of the stay we experienced loud neighbors above us but that isnt necessarily anthing anyone could control. We had everything we needed in the cabin and the water always heated up quickly. The only thing i would say is maybe a topper for the matress as it was a little stiff. We will be back!
