"We thought the actual view from the hotel was even better than the pictures. We heard coocoo birds and various wildlife when we out walking about. The staff was exceptionally kind and could speak English perfectly. We ate dinner one evening and had the eggplant parmigiana, which rivaled the best we had in Italy. "Beautiful location with direct views to lake Como and mountains. Just a few yards from shore of the lake which has a pebbly beach. Great for swimming. "The hotel is located on the mountain and the view of lake Lugano is spectacular. As it turns out, the rest of the experience was less so. We arrived around 10pm and by then, the kitchen was closed. The staff reluctantly served us drinks while at the same time wiping tables and closing down - despite the fact that the bar was supposed to stay open for another 30 minutes.
