Easy to find and access our room via a door code. We never interacted with staff. Comfortable bed, great shower, and plenty of space. However, the walls are a bit thin which meant we could hear our neighbors.
The room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable and I really need to find out what sheets they use because they are super high quality! It was very cozy and we had the Little Jo room towards the back which was great because we took the steak on the barbecues that were there and hung out under the little pergola in the new chairs. Then we proceeded to go down to the market and get some firewood to have a little bonfire in the back! It was fantastic and was definitely the best time we've ever had staying in a hotel. We also thought it was neat about the self check-in feature as it was super easy and didn't have to deal with any people at a desk or any lines. Two thumbs up 10 out of 10!
Nice place. Cute decor, clean room, comfortable bed. Sliding bathroom door a little hard to move at times. Not a huge room but more than enough room for us.
Cozy and exactly what you need, cloud comfy bed, soft pillows, ample outlets for charging things, heat worked great, hot shower with awesome pressure. Staying here again next time we are in the area.
We had an excellent stay at Ponderosa Inn. The room was on the smaller side but cozy and comfortable. Communication from host was timely and and made for a seamless visit.
Fast response from staff. Stayed in the Lil Jo room, it was private and clean. I liked that we could park in the back and be close to our room.
The three other queen rooms are close together, I would be upset if I had booked one of the others and been so close to the other couples staying. Could be nice for multiple friends to book together. Glad I made my room choice, though it was just a guess.
There was a bit of a snafu with the check in process, as we didn’t get the email with the room name and door code. It was fixed relatively quickly. The rooms are freshly remodeled, and very nice. It’s a rustic atmosphere, and very comfy! Great value, and we’ll certainly stay here again if we’re in the area.
Pleasantly surprised by the Ponderosa Inn. Nondescript from the outside, but the room was very appealing. Well-appointed, with a very tall wood-clad ceiling. Contactless entry went fine. The microwave in the common area was put to good use heating up the excellent pizza from the nearby Escalante Outfitters.
Most importantly the bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. Our only complaint was that it was noisy. We could hear the man in the room next to us coughing during the night and he got up before daylight and we could hear a lot of noise. Also the air conditioner was noisy so we had to turn it off to sleep.
This was a little slice of heaven! A perfect home away from home if you will. My husband and I had been on a 2 week road trip and we were driving in from Zion NP. We found this Inn and booked it based on the price, location, and reviews.
We didn't get in until quite late so or initial impression was a bit of a concern. The 2 story hotel next door was completely vacant and the Ponderosa Inn was also empty. We were a bit weary since it seemed lonely and the inn was down a dark lonely unlit road, especially knowing there would be no staff on site. However, when we walked in the motion lights came on and we easily found our room. Gabe had emailed us the instructions on how to enter our room with a digital code and when we entered were pleasantly surprised.
The room was so welcoming and charming. The decor was amazing. We had the River Bend Room and the minute you walk in you just smell clean linens and a clean room. The room had a refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, chairs, table, a firm yet comfortable bed, and the pillows were so luxurious. I appreciated the grey towels because I felt like we were at someone's home and not a sterilized hotel. Also, the bathroom had soft toilet tissue, not the single ply stuff most places have. It is the little things in life.
The attention to detail was so spot on.
We ended up staying 2 nights while we hiked Bryce, Escalante's petrified forest, and Capital Reef.
Each room is different and there is even a family suite which we want to loo
