Perfect attention to detail throughout.

Everything was superb and all the small details taken care of. Grounds are very special particularly for a Northern European like me. Breakfast was lovely.

Nice hotel

Nice hotel in a nice location, enjoyed our stay. Staff were all great, room was very spacious with a terrace and the decor was very Spanish and traditional in style. There is no restaurant at the hotel anymore, but there are options in the nearby town and a pizza place (amazing) that we walked to. It was a little bit dated, and there were some partly built buildings/building materials visible from our terrace (but also a lovely view of the countryside). We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again for sure.

Great Escalante, Santoña, and Laredo location.

Great accommodations a treat to stay at if you like traditional Spanish "Casona" facilities. Breakfast was good. Perfect for a romantic getaway.

Country style manor hotel

Nice and pleasant country-style hotel. Rather big territory with direct accesst to forest. Very large rooms and freindly staff. Restaraunt is not the cheap one but it's within hotel teritory so it's veri convinient if you checked in late in the evening and do not wish to go somewhere by car. We enjoied staing there. Very quet. And there is a swimming pool.

Could not believe how beautiful the hotel was and that we were fortunate enough to have booked it. Our room was the largest we have stayed in.

Cantabria Holiday

A lovely hotel and grounds, a good swimming pool, nice rooms, friendly staff, although a couple of things just took the edge of our stay. Ants in the bathroom with the owner appearing indifferent to this, suggesting its normal for the time of year (June), whilst one of our two restaurant meals disappointing - our first meal was excellent so we decided to use again, but our fish on the second visit was not cooked as we expected - undercooked. The owner offered to get the chef to cook another meal, but by that time we had lost our appetite. It is a good hotel, but from other reviews I believe we were a touch unlucky.

Sorpresa agradable. Lugar especial.

Lugar con encanto clásico pero sin faltar de nada muy bien cuidado. Entorno precioso y lleno de naturaleza. Bien situado para el que busque tranquilidad y poder estar en todo tipo de entornos a media hora de coche. Nos trataron mejor que bien con ese saber estar de las personas que hacen bien las cosas. El restaurante es precioso.

sejour inoubliable en amoureux

Venus passés quelques jours à escalante en couple, nous sommes restés 6 jours au lieu des 2 prévus initialement. L'hotel est magnifique, le service est irréprochable, le personnel souriant, la chambre de la taille d'un petit F2, splendide ( même si legerement sombre c'etait son seul défaut ) avec une très grande salle de bain impeccable... Les petits déjeuners sont copieux. La table du restaurant est tout à fait correcte, la cuisine raffinée, un grand choix dans la carte des vins, le tout à des prix tout à fait abordables, il y en a pour tous les gouts et tous les budgets.La plage n'est qu'à quelques km et la piscine de l'hotel est divine ( juste un peu petite pour les nageurs dont nous faisons parti ). Nous sommes partis tristes mais nous reviendrons à la première occasion.

La situation de l'hôtel impliquerait une meilleure indication à l'arrivée. Aucun panneau explicite n'est prévu ni avant ni dans la commune d' Escalente.
