"I’m from British Columbia, I had booked my stay before I left for my trip. The pictures of the motel were wonderful and the descriptions were very nice, thinking this would be a great place to stay. Upon arrival, the building looked like it was not maintained for years, long grass and weeds have taken over, the parking lot was pot holed and un maintained. The rooms didn’t have air conditioning, the water had a brown tinge and couldn’t be drank. Water was shut off the afternoon of the first day I stayed,, the second morning I departed,, there was no water,, somehow it was shut off during the night,, horrible!!!! Good thing I had bottled water to at least brush my teeth!! There was a huge language barrier with the owners/workers,, just disgusting!!! I should have got at least half of my money back because I would have done better in a tent,,,"
"Nice and quiet for the most part, easy access, but the no front desk person was quite jarring, was unsure if I was properly checked in / out, and you definitely get what you pay for, the appliances aren't the most fancy things thats for sure and a couple spots in my room couldve used some touch ups (bathroom door was hitting on door frame, bathroom exhaust fan blades were exposed, etc), its better then run down motel thats for sure but It still kinda looks like one from the outside, definitely would stay there again though because of the price"
"My room was clean and recently renovated. It’s an older building in downtown Kirkland Lake that has been renovated. I like the location and my room was great. The staff was helpful."
"No staff to fix any problems that arise, the bathroom is extremely small and the shower is not the best. The water for the shower is horrible to adjust and fluctuates between hot and cold while you are in there."
"The only thing saving this from 1 or zero stars is the fact that they’re trying. Reno’s are underway, but obvious shortcuts have been taken and it reflects poorly on the quality of work. If they’ll let me upload a video I’ll show the infestation of ants in my room. Couldn’t even sit in the couch without getting covered in ants… unacceptable. The bed I think is literally from the 1950s, I had springs poking my entire body all night. The only thing I went there to do is sleep and between the anxiety from the ants and that nightmare they call a bed I hardly slept at all. I would’ve been better off sleeping in my car."
