"The place just works. We enjoyed every aspect of the Hotel. It was clean well laid out and the staff was wonderful. Great Location and we will be back again..... Breakfast hit the spot."

"DO NOT RECOMMEND...We had two queen beds; I opened one set of sheets and there were crumbs everywhere. So, did they not wash them, or did they straighten them after someone slept in them? Super noisy with kids running up and down the halls late. There was a crack of almost an inch under the door with no stripping, so you could hear everything, paper thin walls. The floors were sticky, the curtain was broken, the bath had parts ripping off, the water pressure was horrible. And it smelled like musty old, maybe smoke? The breakfast was ehhh. At least put some fresh fruit out, not old bananas and a green orange. The parking was sketchy and I didn't feel safe with my daughter. Glad we were only there to sleep one night, will not stay there again. I'll pay for a Marriott next time."

"Absolutely lovely and quiet place to stay in Jacksonville. The property is an upscale charming motel/hotel property, tucked away in cute corner on the main road, 238, heading out of town. Lots of trees in the lot. My double bed room was spacious, with a high ceiling, calming decor and comfortable beds. Very clean room. I especially appreciated the large refrigerator that also had a small freezer for ice packs. (Good for road trippers.) The Inn is a short half mile walk to the Main street in “downtown” Jacksonville (half that to the Pony Espresso, Rays grocery and the Back Porch). The walk is flat, with a good sidewalk the entire way and VERY safe at night. It’s across the street from a senior living complex. I suggest a flashlight as some sections are a little dark at night. Note that the upstairs rooms require carrying your items up a set of outdoor stairs. The rooms right next to the road may have some road noise in the morning, but not much. (This is Jacksonville after all.) I’ve stayed in downtown several times before and would stay here again. It’s perfect if you’re going to a concert at the Britt, providing your OK with the walk back, which would probably be about a mile total from the pavilion."

"What a gem! We came to visit family living locally. We arrived mid-week for a one night stay and we immediately regretted not booking at least one more night. We practically had the place to ourselves the morning we awoke, and it was delightful. We sat on the patio with our cups of coffee and a slice of the fresh baked chocolate chip loaf available for guests in the morning. We luxuriated in the view, the men working in the vineyards nearby and the majesty of the mountains in the distance. Honestly, the online photos do not do this property justice. It’s charming. Yes, there are things that are quirky, like an electrical socket near the floor in the bathroom with directions to find the extension cord, but the property is old. Well, maintained, mind you, but the architecture is a part of the charm. Don’t miss out. This place is worth a visit. We’ll be back for sure. "
