"Way overrated...location is all it has going for it. Embassy Suites is better for a full service stay. They put us, who booked through Expedia, in a second floor room overlooking the parking lot lol...possibly the worst room they have, when it wasn't even crowded lol. When we went to check out they said the "system is down" and couldn't correctly check us out. A 3 star resort at best. Don't expect a 5 star experience."

"It was good for the price compared to other properties in the area. The breakfast was good. The only thing I would say negative is the bathroom was outdated. The tubs need replaced and the lady in the towel room was very rude."

"It was lovely! The pool was great! The first day staff said we could not borrow towels for the beach. The second day we saw a sign and staff said we could, which was very helpful. It’s a small hotel, some floors were noisy, ours was not thankfully. Very close to the beach. About a 20 min walk to Balboa or a 7 min uber. Vacancy coffee & Tide Pools (breakfast burritos) are walking distance and phenomenal! Definitely would stay again!"

"We enjoyed our stay at the property and most things about it. My only complaint is how loud the music is at the pool. They have a DJ blasting music from 11am until late in the afternoon. Its deafening and it's not like this is a Vegas pool. Its a kids pool. I would encourage management to do without the music. Good food. Good beer.
