This place is phenomenal, you’re immediately welcomed by friendly staff when you walk in, and it smells like a Hilton! It smells expensive, and you feel pampered around every turn. The TV was programmed to welcome me as I walked into my room. The workout center had every piece of equipment I could possibly ask for and more than I could use in my one night stay. Breakfast after I slept in the comfortable, fluffy, warm bed was also excellent, they had omelettes and oatmeal and juice and coffee, and tea. in fact, they have coffee and tea all day, complementary to the guests. they have a little minibar full of travel size items in case you forget your toothpaste or deodorant. Every space as well maintained. I actually forgot my flowers as I was leaving, and the hostess brought them out to my car when I came back for them. They also have a really cool texting service so you can just text questions that you have rather than having to call down to the front office. This place is so charming and convenient, and it truly reminded me why I love the Hilton.

The lady at the front desk was super friendly. I love the colors in the hotel! The glass shower door is so nice to have. So is the big tv. This is my new favorite hotel.

Not Overly Impressed
While our check-in was fantastic the rest of the stay was mediocre at best. Not real sure how the heater was supposed to work as the fan rarely turned off and constantly blew cool air. They moved us to a different room, but the heater had the same problem. If the temperature was raised to 74* or 75* it would blow warm air for a while, then back to the cool air. After our first nights stay we came back to the room to find that housekeeping hadn't been in to at least empty trash and leave fresh towels. Went to the front desk to get some and was told they only come every 4th day to service the room. They made a note to have housekeeping come the next day. We had 2 small dogs with us and had to acknowledge the "rules". One of them was to have a door hanger on the door at all times making housekeeping aware there were pets in the room. The "rules" said housekeeping wouldn't come in unless we were there and the dogs were on leashes. The "rule" seemed confusing and when the desk clerk was asked about it she even said it was confusing. Finally, Tru by Hilton bills themselves as a minimalist property. Only 1 uncomfortable chair in the room. Needed an ink pen, but they don't provide pens. No drawers in the event you wanted to unpack luggage. For us it didn't matter, but they don't even have coffee makers in the rooms. Other than the price I felt our room was kind of like a Motel 6 room from 40 years ago.

I'm sorry that you had issues with your heater, we may need to consider how to post some instructions on them so that our guests can set them to operate at their comfort level. I appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We love when guest provide us feedback to bring to ownership and management so that we can continue to anticipate our guests needs. The Tru brand is the minimalist brand under the Hilton flag, that is how we are able to keep our rates at a lower level than the other Hilton brands. While we don't offer coffee, pens and note pads it the rooms, we do have coffee 24 hours a day in the lobby and Pens and Note Pads at the front desk. Thank you for giving us a try.

Passing through, wonderful rest!
I have stayed here 3 times now with my dog while passing through on a long trip to family. The staff is wonderful, place is very clean, and I love the availability of hot coffee and tea in the lobby. There is also a big yard in which to walk the dog. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks so much!

My husband and I were in town to see a comedy show, and I definitely didn't regret booking with Tru. The facilities are very clean all-around, you get beautifully simple accommodations with modern tech, a personalized "welcome" on the TV on arrival, and the staff were very kind. Only complaints would be that there were flies somehow getting in (we killed 2 in the 1 night stay), and the breakfast items don't seem closely monitered for use-by dates or freshness. Otherwise, it was a perfectly pleasant stay! The bartender at B-dubs even let us non-locals know we picked a great hotel because the other side of the nearby bridge is a sketchy area. So, thank you, Elkhart for being so hospitable! Would book again!

The staff were very friendly and accommodating during my stay. The atmosphere was bright and welcoming upon arrival. I didn’t eat the free breakfast offered but they did offer a nice variety of selections from 6-9am plus they have food/snack area where you can purchase items. I would definitely recommend.

That is a perfect description of the Tru brand. we also have a great lobby to hang out in! Thank you for giving us a try. Keep in mind. All Tru hotels are similar, our brand standard is basic and budget friendly.

Hotel was clean and quiet. We had an issue with the inside door lock locking us out of the room when we left the room. The door closing must have jarred the lock closed. We went to the young lady (I'm sorry that I can't remember her name) that checked us in. She called her manager for advice on how to handle our issue which she did very quickly. She was very friendly and helpful and we appreciate her.

Hotel was ok for the price. Hotel staff was ok except for one person. One front desk person was rude, not to us directly but to the people in front of me checking and to other guests. Also, two vehicles were broken into, on two different days. The first one we reported to the “rude front desk lady” but of course she was rude a said oh well there nothing we can do. We said you should notify the people and call the police. That didn’t happen, until I found the owner myself.

We are a very safe community and we are creating a protocol for such incidents however we do hope that the security measures we are putting into place will deter and future incidents.

Decent motel
Overall a nice motel. A little small but OK. The bed was very uncomfortable. I do have a bad back. We stayed for three nights, and they did not sweep the floors. For the price a decent motel.

Great new concept hotel. This was our 10 th hotel in thirteen days and far superior to all the others. Great beds/bedding, quiet, great breakfast, clean and fresh. Easy access to tollway and safe area. I will seek out this brand in the future.

Nice place
This was a clean and comfortable hotel. Everything was up to par & we'll use Tru hotels again. My grandson loved the fact there were games in the lobby since we had one rainy day.

the room was clean and met our needs. We were told at check in that breakfast was from 6 am to 9 am, however, when we arrived to get breakfast at 6:45 am before a sporting event, we were told we could not have any of the food that was already set out until 7 a.m.. It was inconvenient to have to go and find food for my hungry athletes at 6:50 am.

Our breakfast is from 6 to 9, Monday through Friday and 7 to 10, Saturday and Sunday. On occasion, we might slip up and say the wrong time. My apologies!! however, the breakfast staff should have let you eat breakfast and I will be addressing that.
