The Outlook Lodge

"1. The parking situation was terrible. There simply weren’t enough parking spaces, so we had to park somewhere else. The road was also unpaved, and we had to drag our luggage quite a long way to the property. 2. The room is located quite high up, roughly three floors above ground level, with no elevator. If you love getting your workout in while traveling, you’re in luck! We had to carry all of our luggage up the stairs. 3. It’s a self-check-in property, but the instructions were extremely unclear. First, we never received the check-in email. Then there was a very “fancy” key locker that was surprisingly difficult to figure out. Even the room numbering was confusing—the locker showed a room number like 301, while the actual room number was only a single digit. There was simply no obvious connection between the two. Because we weren’t even sure whether we had the correct room, we were honestly nervous when using the key to open the door, worried that we might accidentally be opening someone else’s room. 4. Overall, the whole experience felt unnecessarily complicated, from parking and check-in to the way things were set up inside the room. It feels like a lot of things were designed to be “different” or “stylish” rather than convenient. To put it nicely, it’s very unique and has a certain character. If you love that kind of thing, you’ll probably love it. But if convenience and practicality are your priorities, I would definitely not recommend staying here."

"Had an amazing one-night stay, everything was clean and ready. Initially there was some confusion on my part as I hadn’t received the room number and code. I called the main number provided with the booking, was happily assisted and got access to my room. Turns out, I missed the document that was sent out days earlier, it was my error. Lovely place to stay and the hot tub was marvelous! Will be back"

"Wanted to let all the staff know that my experience was so great. Everyone was so nice and helpful. I had an issue with my TV not working. They came up to my room and tried to fix the problem. They could not fix the problem, so they gave me another room. The housekeeper named Crystal was so friendly to me always asking if I needed anything. I have never stayed here before. I will never stay anywhere else. Thanks again to all the staff. JOB WELL DONE."
