"When booked the hotel was described as a “resort” which is why we planned the detour to its location. Upon arrival there was no staff to welcome us - a text to the number on the locked door was quickly returned with a lock box code to grant us enterance to our studio apartment. The advertised laundry facilities were not available for use, the swimming pool while open was in great need of maintenance or filtering ( both) and as such was not an attractive option for the afternoon. "One of the best family and regional small hotel we have visited in 20 years in Crete. They really are very small hotel, familial style but they do their best to provide high level services: multiple pool, breakfast, sun towels. Amazing quality for price. I rarely write reviews but their work needs to be recognized. The only con of this hotel, despite what is written on Hotels.com, it's very remote in the moutain and far from Paleochora, so I recommend if you need to rest 2-3 days in a super...

"A beautiful place nestled in the mountains, set in a charming, beautifully restored village. Its location is also ideal, roughly halfway between Elafonissi Beach and the Balos Lagoon, making it a great base for exploring both. Our room was a wonderful cottage, full of character and very comfortable. The staff were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. The restaurant was another highlight, serving truly outstanding dishes. A wonderful experience overall."

Monastery Estate Mountain Retreat

10/10 Excellent

"Perfect stay with my daughter for few days. Staff are so friendly and helpful all the time. Can’t fault the whole experience. The only thing I’d pick on was the smell in the toilet in our room, it’s probably due to the sewage system. The stafff came to attend and fix the smell every time we raise the issue. It’s really been a great escape ."

Falasarna beach Studios & Apartments

10/10 Excellent

"We were very satisfied with the room, the location and the staff. Rooms were cleaned every day, the staff were helpful, and the view from our balcony of the sunset and Falasarna Bay was exceptional. It was exactly what we had hoped....good location for the beach and within walking distance of another couple of beach bars also."
