"Brilliant and absolutely stunning hotel with the most wonderful staff that make you feel very welcome to the island! Very near to lio beach but not walking distance from the main town. The hotel helps you get tricycles there though with ease."
"We had an ocean view upstairs. Really great!
If you stay downstairs, there are rooms people walk by to get to breakfast- so if you need a lot of privacy, look for a room to the left as you face the beach
Nice amenities and fresh water available.
Staff was very nice and helpful. You are at the end of the main restaurant area, so it was good for our kids.
Breakfast was good and different each day- Filipino style mainly but eggs cooked to order.
The coffee could be improved, but you can go to a coffee shop close by if necessary.
We booked in-room massages thru the front desk and they were great.
Rooms are good size and we had plenty of storage for our 4 night stay. They'll clean your room as needed. There's direct beach access, but no swimming there. You can easily walk around town.
We've stayed at Cuna hotel, Lagun hotel and this one. We enjoyed them all, but just seeing the boats and sunset right out your window is so relaxing.
PS. There's no smoking in most of the town, but you can smoke on your balcony"
""For someone who trains regularly, the gym being a ten-minute walk away just became my warmup. And island hopping here is genuinely physical. The hotel is also right next to the boat departure point, which makes getting out on the water easy.
Verde’s plant-based protein options cover the bases: chickpeas, tofu, edamame. I track protein intake and four days here didn’t leave me short. There are also some protein smoothies and post-activity salads on the menu. Portions are generous, though I was hungry again about ninety minutes after eating. That’s probably my metabolism, not the kitchen. I started bringing snacks for the boat. Not a complaint, just planning.
The private speedboat tour organised by the front desk was the right call. Small group, flexible stops, your own schedule. That’s a completely different experience from the packed shared boats. Energy well spent.""
"My wife and I had an amazing time staying at Glamping at Karuna El Nido. Was it perfect? Far from it actually but the staff was amazing, the food was good and reasonable, and the views are to die for. The restaurant and pool area are also amazing. Cats will visit you at dinner : )
In case you're wondering the issues we had with the Jungle Lodge:
* There is a big trail of ants on the patio at nightly only.
* Our unit lost power on our last day so we had no AC : (
* The prices differ (sometimes cheaper, sometimes more expensive) from the menu prices at the Karuna restaurant.
* The shower is pretty tiny and the water pressure is low.
Also, yes, there are a lot of stairs but I enjoy a small walk/hike after dinner just to help digest a little.
There were some issues yes but this was still an amazing place to stay at. The waitstaff, front desk workers, and our driver Brian were all super friendly and helpful!"
"Great place to stay. The staffs are amazing and extremely accommodating. Nuod is a great host and great resource for information e.g. activities and tours. The place is very clean, convenient to center of the town, extremely comfortable and offers good food. They filter their ice and water enabling us to drink the water, cocktails and most specially our fave, mango shake. They even allowed us to have a late check out since we took a late flight. I highly recommend and will definitely be our go to when we return to El Nido."
