A nice little hotel perfectly located.

The hotel is perfctly located a 1 minute walk from the bars and restaurants of the town. It is cheap and cheerful, we were happy to have stayed there. The only thing id say is breakfast leaves something to be desired but it fits the purpose. Also the proprietor knows where to get the best exchange rate, just ask.

Hotel staff were very rude and personally insulted us. They initially claimed they didn't have our reservation and that it was Expedias fault. While we were on the phone with Expedia who confirmed reservation and #, the hotel staff admitted they did indeed have it. They offered no apology and said it wasn't our fault, not theirs. They sent us a nasty message via email after we provided feedback to Expedia as well. We ended up going to a different hotel and the manager told us "I'm glad your leaving".

pasajeros muy desagradables. fue oportuno que se fueran. tenian su habitacion y solo tenian que esperar ubicar su reserva. pero creen que son personas excepcionale que no pueden esperan. ni presentaron su pasaporte , ni les importo. espero que encontraran una mejor estadia

Location is good - close to Main Street. One day I returned to find my door open with key in the lock. No cleaner in sight and never returned to retrieve key and lock room. So don’t leave anything valuable in your room. Price was good

Good Location

Is very close yo the principal street. Is very close yo the supermarket too. The hotel has a nice view. Is very easy to move around and find places of the expeditions to the glaciar. The hotel has the service from transport from or to the airport. That is very importante because the AirPort is dar away from town

Good value but very basic

I stayed 3 nights on this hosteria, the room was i booked was private for 1 so its big for me, tv i think only 1 english channel, there's a heater but far away fr the bed, its cold! Not enough to cover the area.no toiletries on the bathroom, just 2 small soap, you can hear the conversation of other rooms. Wifi is good. Breakfast is very very basic, already prepared in each table, 3 slices of cheese &3 ham? I think, also the bread is portioned!coffee, tea, yogurt, juice, cereals are available but that's it. I asked if i can boil eggs but the owner said no facilities to make it? But that's where they have the kitchen! (Microwave& toaster available ). Camillois very helpful w/ arranging tour & answering questions, the others who can't speak English really tries to be helpful. The place is 10-15mn walking distance to center of town, but near the bus station. Overall, if you're looking for a place to stay & have made arrangement for tours its a good value for your money. Its clean.

Not a good choice.

First off, one has to climb 20 plus irregular stairs to reach reception with no one available to help with baggage. We were checked in (more or less) by a housekeeper because the "señora" would not be there until 1400 despite the fact that check-in starts at 1100. There were no glasses in the bathroom and a sign in the eating area that if utensils or dishes were removed, there would be a 50 peso "fine." Asked the at reception for glasses from the person working the desk and got them while, all the while, she couldn't be bothered to put down the phone. I got the feeling that the only one who knew what was going on was the housekeeper.

Comfortable, affordable and convenient

Good location for short stay. Hotel is a 5 minute walk from bus station and grocery store. Price included breakfast and was a good value for two people.

if you can avoid staying there, you should.

my flight arrived at 1:30AM. Even tough they advertise a 24 hour reception there is no such thing. There was NOBODY! They showed up at 4:00AM saying oh we dont have your reservation. I was right on the desk! The rooms are depresssing. Asked for a double bed got 2 mini singles. Im 110 pounds and i thought i would fell out of bed !! Lol. There is no shampoo so bring your own. And breakfast is terrible. Only bread And bad coffee. I dont know why they call it breakfast. The only good thing about this hotel truly is the location. So at least you can walk to the grocery and buy some fruits and yogourt for breakfast....

A Hosteria é muito bem localizada e tem um bom sistema de calefação. Com relação aos preços praticados em El Calafate é um ótimo custo benefício. Voltaríamos a nos hospedar aqui sem dúvidas

Hôtel situé au centre de El Calafate à éviter. Nous avions réservé 3 nuits, à notre arrivée, la première nuit n'avait pas été prise en compte par l'hôtel. La réceptionniste avait fait le nécessaire pour nous trouver un hôtel a proximité. Merci à elle. Sauf que le lendemain, la patronne nous a fait payer les 3 nuits alors que l'erreur venait d'elle et qu'en plus nous avons remarqué qu'elle nous a fait payer la première nuit au tarif de son hôtel alors que l'hôtel où nous avions été relogés était moins cher !!! Inadmissible. Malgré nos plaintes, elle n'a rien voulu savoir. Aucun geste commercial. Pour compléter, chambre propre sans plus, chauffe eau au gaz dangereux à utiliser pas du tout aux normes de sécurité basiques, douche dangereuse nous nous sommes ebouillantés (!) et pour finir petit déjeuner pris dans une salle froide car porte toujours ouverte.

No respetaron mi reserva

Se sobre vende el hotel , llegue y ellos no hicieron valida mi reserva, si bien ellos solucionaron mi problema de hospedaje consiguiendo otra opción. no puede ser que sobre venda .

Tipica struttura ricettiva in Patagonia. Molto graziosa e la posizione è più che ottima, si trova giusto a 1 minuto dalla strata centrale di El Calafate. Ottimo il servizio colazione che è sempre incluso! Io e mia sorella ci siamo trovate benissimo! Consigliato!

Buona posizione vicinissimo alla stazione omnibus, perdita di acqua dal wc e evidenti muffa sulle pareti . Un po rumoroso passaggio di automobili sul lato stradale.

Nicht empfehlenswert

Unser Zimmer war in einem elenden Zustand, wirklich 'rundown', dafür ist es tapeziert mit Drohungen, was passiert, wenn man dies oder jenes macht oder unterlässt. Personal willig, kann aber kein englisch. Mieses Frühstück, das erste Hotel, das ich kenne, das sagt, was es nicht serviert (no ham, no eggs).

Bad Experience

Ideally located this hotel suffers from its really bad Customer service. Hotel manager has no sense at all of what a host is. I've booked via hotels.com 2 months before arrival, my reservation was not listed, they've put in me in room that was recently flooded, the carpet was completely damp. I had to ask to change the room. Luckily the spot El Calafate is Worth the visit, but the Hotel Manager knows it too well and treats their hosts as petrol station Customers who just pass by the place!

レセプションに鍵がかかっており、用がある度にインターホンを鳴らす必要があるのが少し不便です。部屋は綺麗で快適に過ごせました。

Bonne situation, près du centre et tous services

El Calafate est à la porte de la Parque Nacional Glaciales; ceci est une expèrience inoubliable. L'hôtel Austral est très bien situé près de la centre ville et était bien confortable, le personnel étaient bien aimable
