The Montano was a very nice boutique hotel with lots of little personal touches that made our stay perfect, from the handwritten note welcoming us to the nightly glasses of wine in the”living room”. Breakfast was amazing, all of the fruits were fresh and the bread, eggs and coffee and juices were of very good quality. The location was a quick walk to the city center close to shopping and restaurants. Absolutely would stay here again and recommend to anyone visiting El Calafate.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay! The staff was very friendly and helpful! The breakfast was delicious and had a good variety. The rooms are on the smaller side but extremely clean and thoughtfully appointed.

We loved Montano Suites. We went when the place was new; they had opened two months prior. The ambience is excellent, achieved with great interior design. The breakfast is small, but very high quality, and the staff was very kind. We would return and 100% recommend it to our friends.

The room was small but perfectly adequate for a solo traveler; it may feel a bit tight for two people. The location is excellent—about a 10-minute walk to the village. Breakfast was great, and the staff was outstanding. They helped me arrange private tours and bookings even before my arrival, and I honestly wouldn’t have been able to make this trip without their guidance. I chose this place specifically because of the staff, and they truly delivered. Multiple team members were helpful both at the front desk and over the phone.

The place is about 5 minutes away from the main town, just a walk down a hill and over a bridge. It wasn’t bad at all. The breakfast was pretty good as well, and the room was clean and cozy. Totally recommend!

Great place to stay in El Calafate

Hotel Amigo del Mundo was just what I needed in El Calafate. Close to downtown and to the bus - walking distance from everything. Economical, clean, comfortable, quiet. The breakfast was nice and complete. I would definitely stay there again.

Simple yet effective place to sleep for a night or two. The bed is decent the pillows are sleepable but could be better. Surprised how nice the free breakfast was. Overall a good deal for the price

Very pleased with Amigo del Mundo

Very convenient place to stay while prepping for a trek in the mountains. There is a supermarket right around the corner the bus station is just a few blocks away. The staff were friendly and the room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was especially nice and prepared us well for our trek!

This hotel was very nice and clean. I also got a great deal.The room was very comfortable and everything was in great working order. The location of the hotel was also great because it was within easy walking distance of the main street with restaurants and banks as well as close to the bus station. You will really enjoy your stay here!
