"The building and rooms were really lovely, clean, and well finished. What really set this hotel apart for us was the staff and hospitality! We had two stays booked at Illampu, before and after a tour to the Uyuni salt flats. I had left a suitcase stored with the hotel during our tour. Unfortunately, due to the protests in La Paz, we weren't able to make it back for our second reservation and had to fly directly to La Paz airport and then leave the country on our flights home shortly after. The hotel manager and staff communicated with me quickly, clearly, and continuously over a couple days to coordinate getting my suitcase to the airport. They coordinated a driver to meet me after our domestic flights with my bag, and confirmed I received it. Our first night there we were impressed with how nice everything was and how modern and clean the hotel was, but I was completely blown away by how amazing the staff was by the end of our time in Bolivia. Highly recommend this lovely hotel!"
