"Excellent accomodation and great value for money. One opportunity for improvement would be to make sure that the payment terms are clear from the start. Hotels.com told us that we had paid 50% up front when booking but we had to pay 100% of the cost upon arrival. Will i ever see my 50% deposit again?"

"I was looking for inexpensive lodging in the Huertgen Forest Battle area and this was it.Great location near big lake/dam,nice views from my balcony .Room quite dark and basic but clean -strong chemical smell from shower /toilet room. Generally a bit tired but great location,free parking in front for me and friendly host "

"Leider nicht zu empfehlen Die Außenanlage wirkt ungepflegt & vermittelt einen wenig einladenden Eindruck. Auch im Inneren zeigt sich ein veralteter Zustand – zwar grundsätzlich funktional, aber längst nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Was uns jedoch auf dem Weg ins Zimmer und im Zimmer selbst erwartete, kann man nur als Renovierungs-Fail bezeichnen: Flur: Unsachgemäß verlegte Fliesen und hochstehende Teppichkanten stellen eine deutliche Stolpergefahr dar. Zimmer: Der Zustand war schlichtweg...

"Our family of 2 adults and 2 children had the whole top floor which was clean and comfortable. We loved how the property had a lot of character and lovely old features so we expected that we would have to walk up the 3 flights of stairs. Parkplatz Aukloster was a short walk away and when we figured out how to pay for parking (we don’t speak German) with help from Johannes, it all worked out well. Johannes responded promptly to our questions and was very kind and accommodating. Thank you!"

"I arrived on a Monday but was disappointed to learn the restaurant was shut. Had to drive back into Düren for food. Germany doesn't seem to like Mondays! Hotel is good, if not slightly tired, but very clean and I slept well. My Monday evening disappointment was short lived following a very welcoming and wonderful breakfast. Very nice staff."

"Booked a double bed was given a room with one double and twin bunk beds over the double bed, there was no air conditioner as advertised. The room was extremely small! When we asked they said rooms don’t have any a/c. And they all have bunk beds..No ice maker, no microwave even at reception area! Flies everywhere! Windows have no screens!! Staff was friendly!"

"We really enjoyed the lovely apartment. The bed was comfortable and the shower worked well. There was lots of space and the breakfast in the room was brilliant. The stairs are steep and it does get warm being in the roof. It was better when we kept the curtains closed while we were out. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony. We had some good meals in the town although it was a challenge being there ther on Monday and Tuesday before lots of places opened. The location was great for touring the area."
