"There actually was not a breakfast. However, the hotel includes a charming pub where we enjoyed an excellent pub lunch. As a whole we very much enjoyed the White Horse Inn. Our room seemed a little small and we shared a bathroom. We did find a restaurant within a short walking distance where we enjoyed breakfast. "

"The room was nice and big. The staff were friendly. The location was great, near lots of pubs and restaurants. The pub is good too, with friendly people.
Not necessarily suited for young children on friday night as the area is loud until 0030, although it did quieten down once bars were shut. The shower water pressure in the evening seemed a lot lower than the morning."

"Room was clean and functional although furniture was rather old fashioned - e.g. writing desks rather than any clothes drawers.
Breakfast was excellent! Staff very friendly and helpful."

"Stayed at the Grand many times. This time we felt things weren’t to the usual standard. Close to our room the area was being decorated. There were signs apologising but we did wonder, given that the hotel didn’t appear to be ‘to capacity’ why we couldn’t be in an area not being decorated. We were also never far from the noise of pigeons in our room which wasn’t great. At breakfast, we are usually asked if we want anything over and above the buffet. This time, no one did that or indeed offered us toast. This was odd because again, at no point was there a sense that the hotel was full. When we went to the bar area for a drink there was a delay before anyone asked us what we’d like. At the same time staff were huddled at the bar chatting. All in all, we felt the service wasn’t all it used to be. We hope that next time we stay, service will be the usual level of excellence."
"Everything about this accommodation is excellent and great value. I can’t fault a thing. The staff were exceptional. They were cheerful, polite and very welcoming."
"We have just come home after a 4 night stay at The Burlington. On our arrival my friend and I were a bit worried as the hotel looks a bit run down from the outside. Once we were inside, we were pleasantly surprised. We had an excellent welcome from the reception staff and the lounge and bar area's are bright and clean. Our rooms were also comfortable and clean. The breakfasts had a good selection of food and there was a good choice for the evening meals. Overall we had an enjoyable stay and felt it was good value for how much we paid."
"Booked a family room and was pleasantly surprised that it was more than spacious enough for all of us, our luggage, and the endless collection of random items children somehow accumulate! The room was spotless, and the staff were incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was a big hit with both me and the kids. There was plenty of choice, which meant everyone could find something they liked. One of the best things about staying here was the location. The beach is just a short stroll away, and there's a lovely little green space nearby where my youngest happily practised his football skills.
The parking permit was another bonus at just £2.50 per day – very reasonably priced.
Overall, a fantastic family-friendly stay with great value, excellent staff, and a location that kept both me and the children happy."
"The hotel is old world , but badly needs a bit of loving care , but despite being a Britannia Hotel... it was fairly good. We were eating out , but the restaurant looked very nice. with good value prices.
Our 'Seaview room turned out to be a 'Partial View' not Seaview as shown on website which comes at an extra charge of £15. Hotels.com needs to be more careful when advertising rooms... Seaview - to me -does not mean Partial Seaview."
"Everything was excellent.
The room was clean and comfortable, I slept well, the staff were friendly and helpful and I was also happy with the price I paid for my room.
I would stay here again if I needed to stay in Eastbourne."
