The cottage sits on its own, and has a secure gated driveway, but the added convenience of being just off the main road into Criccieth and Pwllheli, and with a mile walk to the beach. Well equipped in the main, though take your own loo rolls! Booked through Hotels.com but actually through Sykes Cottages, who offered great service on the phone. "Nice hotel, beautiful location. Our room was clean although there were stains on the carpet which could have been taken care of. I would not advise eating there, breakfast wasn't great. Also the dining area floor was very dirty, lots of dog hair. There is a robot vacuum under one of the charis but it looks like it hasn't been used in a long time, has quite a thick layer of dust on it. Staff were okay, not very friendly"

"We had a really enjoyable stay here as a family. The welcome at reception was warm and friendly, which set the tone for the whole trip. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the beds in particular were excellent. The bathroom was spotless, and the toiletries were a nice touch that made it feel a bit more thoughtful than the usual budget offering. WiFi was reliable throughout and the TV worked well, which kept everyone happy in the evening. Breakfast was the one area with room for improvement. The food itself was fine, but the buffet could have done with closer monitoring. A few items ran low and were not topped up quickly, and at one point there were no clean plates available. Nothing that spoiled the stay, just a small thing that would lift the experience if the team kept a closer eye on it. Overall a comfortable, well kept hotel with friendly staff. We would happily stay again."

"We had a wonderful stay at this lovely guest house in Wales. The house was absolutely spotless, beautifully maintained, and had such a charming cottage-style feel. It was in a lovely, peaceful location, away from the busy town atmosphere, which made our stay feel very relaxing. The host was incredibly kind, welcoming, and friendly, and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The breakfast was absolutely amazing fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. A beautiful place with a lovely atmosphere, a wonderful host, and a fantastic breakfast. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and charming place to stay in Wales."
