"Cons:
Room needed more table or lamp lighting. I ended up borrowing a lamp from the lobby table. Also could have used dim lighting at the bunk beds. We had the family room with two kids, so when the overhead lights went off, the bunkbed corridor felt very dark and creepy.
Consider putting plugs at the bunkbeds for electronics access
Room and bathroom trashcans were super small
Room temperature felt very warm, could only adjust down to 67 degrees
Would have loved for real washcloths in the room vs. the paper ones.
Pros:
Nice size family room
Clean common areas
Loved the coffee room
Beautiful hotel overall"
"Incredible front staff and restaurant staff. Very helpful and kind. Room was very cute and extremely comfortable. Super convenient location and I felt very safe."
"Even though I booked a land view room, I received a room with sea view, which was amazing.
The amenities in the room were excellent and there were some additional benefits for instance they have “Green Stay” whereby if you forego housekeeping you get a free drink a day.
The location of the hotel is great - there’s enough to do close by which was great since there was a public transport strike one day.
I also enjoyed the spa."
"We had a great stay with the location being perfect! The staff too were super helpful and friendly.
I’m not a great reader of the small print so never pre-booked parking at the hotel but there is a parking garage right next to the hotel as an alternative which offers cheaper day rates if pre booked."
"My room was very cean, spacious, well laid out, large comfortable double bed w 4 pillows and a nice white duvet. Nice bedside tables w 2 reading lamps on each. I like the high breakfast counter and the padded stool. 2 tub chairs and a small round table. Large floor to ceiling closet. The small fridge is appreciated. Large bathroom w an electric towel dryer. The shower floor gets slippery and needs friction strips and grab bars for safety; seems to be missing in all European hotels!"
"be sure to take the advice and inform in advance of the time you intend to have breakfast. Breakfast is not self-service so it can take a little time if you do not plan"
"We stayed in the quadruple room, which was a large room with proper beds rather than sofa beds. Liked the wooden floors. Bathroom basic with small towels but fine for a two night stay. Staff were extremely helpful in assisting me pre-booking the car park. Great location for staying in the city."
"We experienced an excellent 3 day break for 2. Nice clean room, friendly staff, dinner menu quite restricted but delicious - Chef's special a must. The hotel was perfect for visiting the area, inland or beach a bus drive away. Quiet surroundings in a fairly built up area but away from the bustle of Amsterdam. Reasonably priced for such a good quality hotel. Just note, when checking out you'll be hit with a "City Tax"
Worth asking what this will be when you arrive. Apart from that, all good."
