I guess this is fine for business people just looking for a bed for 1/2 nights. It's clean & efficient but rather like a morgue. The reception staff were polite and helpful but not especially interactive of chatty. The bar was clean and business like but as dead as a cemetery and the sofas and benches in the bar were hard and unforgiving not really encouraging to stay and relax . The lift worked well and we never hadto wait long. Our room, on the first floor and was like a box, rather like a single room than a twin. It had an ensuite etc but rather small bath towels. The room Was very warm at all times and we had to have the window-doors open most of the time. When someone used the bathroom next door etc in the middle of he night, it was noisy and kept waking you up. The beds were OK - they had divan bases rather than the cheap wooden slats that hurt your back, but they were not over comfortable so we still had back ache every day- not ideal for a long weekend relaxing break! The room was typical of many large hotel chains, basic, functional and soulless. You wouldn't want to spend much time there except for sleeping. The bedding was good, sheets and duvet cover were very silky cotton and the pillows were soft and comfortable too. but no tea or coffee making facilities. a small bottle of mineral water provided daily with tiny water glasses drunk in 2 gulps. There were chocolates on arrival. A good continental breakfast with muesli, cheeses, fruit, meats, eggs, sausage etc.
