Great place to stay, extremelly clean, well arranged, friendly staff and ready to help. Very good restaurant, not too many options but they are changing the menu completelly on a daily basis! So for sure you will find someting new each time when you'll attend. The food quality is very good, starting from breakfast to dinner. Room impecably clean, everything very well maintained. The surronding area is very pleasant, on the Danube shore with hills around close to manh beautifully hystoricall small cities. A place to remember! Congratulation hotel team!

Almost, but not quite

Spacious but rudimentary rooms, with a lot to desire on facilities. Very nice restaurant, but view from restaurant was non-existent. Nice spa area, but missing some basic services. All in all a lot of potential. Has all the makings of being a very nice hotel, but is missing some finishing touches on a lot of facilities.

Grosses, bequemes Zimmer mit gutem Bett. Sehr gute Küche. Genug Parkplätze vorhanden. Sehr freundlicher und persönlicher Service. Aktuelle Baustelle etwas störend (aber natürlich nur temporär). Etwas wenig Sonnenschutz, wodurch der Balkon kaum nutzbar war.

Schön an der Donau in der Wachau

Schöne ruhige Lage. Ohne PKW läuft man ins Zentrum ca. 15 Minuten. Mit PKW natürlich alles besser. Zimmer ok, sogar mit Upgrade

idealer Aufenthalt für die Durchreise

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt für die Durchreise. Nette kleine Wellnessanlage neu und sauber. Zimmer trotz Straßenseite nachts ruhig. Sehr gutes Frühstück. Allein der Empfang nicht ideal, da im 1. Stock. Die Junge Rezeptionistin sehr reserviert und wortkarg.

Cray hot room.

Our both rooms were extremely hot & couldn't sleep week at all. Ask front desk manager to change our room with an air condone , they claimed it wasn't available. What a waste of $165 a night on a cray hot hotel room. Their breakfast was great but I wouldn't recommend staying in this hotel unless they offer air conditioning room in a hot muggy summer days.

Pool a little small in relation to picture on website. Information on room indicated a bath but only a shower available. Not sure if room had air conditioning...not visible nor sign of a control. SPA was excellent.

Gartenhotel & Weingut Pfeffel Dürnstein is a 10

The hotel was lovely as was the staff. The room was large with a great view of the Danube. The bed was very comfortable with nice linen. Bathroom and shower were great - very roomy. Hotel was very clean. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was one of the best meals we had our entire trip. Breakfast was excellent every day.

Large, yet cozy feel of country hotel with wonderful breakfast room with outdoor terrace. Modern rooftop swimming pool with a so called relax spa zone designed for adults. Family vineyard and products featured. We had hoped to leave our car at hotel and walk in and out of Durnstein but the half mile walk was on an unlit and very busy road.

Wachau a very nice place in a very good hotel

A nice view on Danube. Big rooms, a good restaurant with a big terrace and a nice and well equipped swimming pool on the 4th flor. Helpful and very king staff and also an excellent service.

Degelijk hotel met goede service

Hotel met buitenzwembad en wellness. Standaard kamers zijn ouderwets en hebben nood aan een renovatie. Geen airco op de kamer wat gezien de temperatuur buiten (37°) niet leuk was. Enkel s'avonds kon je het raam openzetten en mocht je geen licht aandoen anders zat de kamer vol insecten. De harde douchestraal kon niet geregeld worden. Het oude gedeelte van het hotel heeft geen lift. Het vernieuwde deel van het hotel was ok. Het personeel was vriendelijk en hulpvaardig. De service was ok. Gratis parking en mooi zicht op de Donau

Gem on the Danube

Delightful hotel in beautful location overlooking the Wachau valley along the Danube within walking distance of the lovely town of Durnstein and its castle ruins. Room was very spacious and comfortable. Restaurant on site was excellent, especially the wine from the owner's own vineyard on the property. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Highly recommend a stay here.

Anspruch und Wirklichkeit klaffen weit auseinander

Die Bilder im Internet sind "aufgemöbelt". Von einem Winzerhotel habe ich mir mehr erwartet, als 6 kleine Proben für 25€ an der Bar mit dem Charme einer Wartehalle.

Sehr zu empfehlen für einen Urlaub in der Wachau

Besuch von Stift Melk, Spitz, Weißenkirchen, Maria Taferl, Stift Göttweig, Besuch von Dürnstein war schwierig, da kaum ein Parkplatz zu finden war.
