hilton dundee

my husband and i stayed at the hilton for two nights. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay although we felt the drinks were very expensive. Booked a lovely meal for £19.99 per person on our first night. the only downside i wish we had requested a room with a river view, our room looked straight onto a building site, all in all a great weekend away.

As ever no problems with hotel, however due to be demolished as Dundee changing river front area ! Hotel now closed, we stayed there during last week !

たまたま用務先にとても都合の良い立地だったので、宿に選んだ。ヒルトンの割にかなり宿代が安かったので、サービスが落ちるのではないかと思ったが、やはりさすがヒルトンだった。

shame it's being knocked down...

admittedly I got an upgrade on account of not having stayed at a Hilton for a long time, but this was a good stay. terrific view over the silvery Tay from room and restaurant. good breakfast with haggis! pity they're about to knock it down, but the area desperately needs to be joined up to the rest of the city centre, so it's in a good cause.

Ruby wedding anniversary

Had a lovely time at the Hilton dundee the room was so comfortable and the huge bed even more so . The staff were all lovely and very helpful .the spa was a bonus as we didn't realize there was one shame that the hotel is being demolished in a few weeks time or we would have defitnately returned

Very handy location and good initial service. Nothing bad to say apart from when they tried to charge me for car parking when I came up on the train. That was quickly sorted.

Old but really comfortable

Looks a bit shabby. Food ok. Beds really comfortable. Roadworks so you have to go over Tay bridge and back to et there. Good for the price.

Great service and breakfast buffet !

Hotel was ideal being a short walk from Dundee City centre. Room was clean and staff very efficient. Breakfast buffet one of the best in the UK.

CLASS HOTEL

COULD NOT FIND ANY FAULT WITH THIS HOTEL. STAFF VERY FRIENDLY AND EFFICIENT, ROOM WAS VERY NICE, CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE . OVERALL A VERY PLEASANT STAY AND I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

We had to complain about breakfast but it was sorted very efficiently by Reception staff as the Restaurant staff were not very helpful. The room needed some maintenance but I believe the hotel is soon to close so that is not surprising. The sunrise over the Tay Estuary from the restaurant was beautiful.

Great hotel with surprisingly good food

The Hilton was all round a good hotel for the price. What was excellent was the food in the restaurant. The type of food you would expect in a rosette restaurant. Really beautiful and well worth staying and eating in.

Closing in March 2013

Had a brief one night stay for business. The desk is too low and the chair too high to work (I'm just under six foot). Room lighting is poor, but the staff are friendly and helpful. If you are dining, ask for the bar menu as it has a better choice of dishes.

Good value but allow for the cost of extras

Very good value but be warned, every extra will cost you: WiFi in room, breakfast, car parking, even the bottle of water in your room. Just these 4 extras alone will add £34 per day to your bill. That said, I believe it is still good value. My bed was very comfortable, the shower was brilliant & the staff seemed friendly. Not sure I'll be going there again though as I believe it is being knocked down!!

hotel was too close to the casino which i was not aware of hen booking. The noise from the casino late at night did spoil things for us and the fact the hotel was described as overlooking the Tay when our room overlooked the car park an onto the unsightly building of the casino. Otherwise the hotel was perfect, the staff were fantastic and the cleanliness of the room was outstanding.

Good value for money paid

Sheets had hairs on them - did not detract from the overall experience. Lovely location overlooking the River Tay/Tay estuary, but sadly our room was on the other side overlooking the casino - noisy until closing 4:00am - people outside smoking! Room quite drafty at the window. Food over priced in Restaurant - go and join the Casino, just to get very similar foods at half the price, and a much more conducive atmosphere in which to drink - never touched the machines! Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Difficult to get into the hotel grounds owing to extensive roadworks at the roundabout - never visited Dundee previously, so trying to watch the traffic, and the hotel location resulted in some difficulty! Bar lacked any atmosphere Breakfast very good. Good value for the one night we stayed over.
