Terrible hotel, it’s impossible to unhear the loud music from the club and bar, and the music lasts until 4am!! Couldn’t have one single quiet night during my stay

I wanted to stay one night this hotel because it was near an event I attended while in Dubai and once I was in the lobby I was unable to even hear the hotel employee because of the loud music coming from across the registration desk. I found out that the hotel has a party lounge across from the registration desk and the music was loud. I was unable to get a refund because I booked the room via Expedia and this occurred before I knew about the noise and crowds. I am never using Expedia again. I have nothing negative to say about the lounge party because it was a party however if a guest is aware of your establishment practices that you do not advertise then the establishment and in this case it is Fortune Grand Hotel and it’s agent Expedia.

The customer service was great. Front desk personnel & bellboy were helpful & pleasant. The room was clean, comfortable and had good complementary items. There was only 1 towel (the booking was in advance, for my husband & I) so we asked for another one. The area around the hotel is good. A lot of shops, restaurants and other places you might need, within walking distance.

I like the hotel. The food was excellent. The staff were friendly and I wish they can open up more but I understand. Overall rating is excellent. I will visit again in October. Emirate Flight was the best. Book me again in the future. Thank You.

The hotel entrance was quite childish filled with balloons & standard room was quit congested but the agent upgraded my room so I was happy with the room We called housekeeping for several times but they didn’t show up ! Which was very unattractive! Plus the bar music gave me severe headache!

I thought of Fortune Grand as a nice fancy hotel.Lord I was disappointed! Room=UNCLEAN,Old carpet...there was not even shampoo or shower gel in my room for 4 consecutive days. Hotel Staff:very cold.Plus their stare at you as if you are a criminal.You don't feel like being in a hotel From front desk to the security personnel this hotel is poorly run.The manager need to do something about it. I have stayed in various hotels in Dubai alternating 4 & stars but this hotel got my lowest ranking.This is really a 2 star hotel ranked 4 stars.I don't understand how they got these reviews in their favor.

Fine if you enjoy cigarette smell and loud music
The hotel was fine, however there were 4 nightclubs IN the hotel and you can hear the music all night - which seemingly gets louder closer to 1am. We actually found it helped us sleep as we were so tired but would imagine it would be annoying if we weren't. We were on the second floor and the ground was still shaking from the beats on ground level. There is also a mosque outside, again very interesting to watch the call to prayer and hundreds of men fill the streets multiple times a day, but there is a PA system from the mosque that will wake you up if you are planning to sleep past about 8am. Not ideal if you are resting in between flights. Good location in Deira where you can get a feel of "real Dubai". Would definitely recommend the 20min walk to the Gold Souq, then walk back along the Dubai Creek past hundreds of carved wooden boats. The hotel itself had a few restaurants inside but they were pricey. The meal came with a hair in the curry, which the waiter tried to palm off as "garlic clover". The entire building smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, but I don't think people are allowed to smoke inside the hotel foyer any more. We got over the smell pretty quickly. It is close to a few shopping centres and restaurants so we enjoyed ourselves and made the most of our two night stop over in Dubai. Overall the staff were brilliant, the location was good and our room had a great view. I would stay in a similar area but a different hotel next time.

price is more cheaper than expecting. due to low season, upgraded the room for the same price. rooms are more comfort. thanks Allah, bar & Restaurant are closed due to ramadahan. otherwise it will be noisy.

Worst experience ever!
The noise from the club really made me crazy and it finally stopped at 3.30am, 30mins before i left for airport. I booked a double room and reception asked me to pay 100 AED when my friend come to me, and when i ask him why, the explaination is sorry but he can't let my friend in if i don't pay 100aed, after scanned my friend's passport. And the charge was not on the receipt as well.

During the one night stay, I had two disappointing points: 1- I requested an iron & iron board at 20:30 evening, delivered by 20:45. O.K. At midnight while I was sleeping the operator called me asking for the iron & iron board, I said I did not use it yet and I am sleeping now. The operator said they need it urgently and they can bring it morning before seven. They took it and never show up again !!!! see waking you up 12:35 after midnight to ask about iron and iron board. seems the hotel does not have any more of this !!! 2- In the morning I asked the room cleaning man for bottle of water, he said is allowed as I am checking out today !!!!

A great hotel at a reasonable price, however the nightclubs kept us awake every night so will not use again for a business trip due to lack of sleep. Staff were polite and courteous, breakfast was average.

Small hotel and does not deserve the 4 star tag They also charge you additional fee 15 AED per night which is not mentioned anywhere. Room is very small and could not walk around after we placed our bags. They have multiple dance bars below in the ground floor. Breakfast is ok - quality is not great. Parking is pretty bad considering that it's in the "old Dubai " area
