I stayed there for a conference. The hotel was very clean and the amenities were nice. The staff were friendly, professional, and helpful. I recommend this place for its price to value ratio, too.
We met a lovely lady at the restaurant from Pakistan Mrs. Shavanah she was so amazing and with a beautiful ange smile she made our 3 sons smile and be happy and we think she is a sunshine she made me a great hot chocolate , great hotel clean, and we loved the shuttle service to Emirates Mall
Excellent hotel value for money Ahmed at Front reception was very good the hotel was heaving with the cancellation guests from airlines but the front desk specially Ahmed was very composed
The duty managers also seemed to be on the ball trying to facilitate things
The rooms is a tad small but has all amenities required
Housekeeping was prompt to get things
This is a large 6-building hotel structure with rooms spread out across these 6 low-rise buildings. The rooms are quite neat n clean but fairly basic. Having said that, the price at which u get it, is absolutely a value for money deal. This is away from city centre - around 25 mins drive by cab n around 90 Dhs from hotel to Dubai Mall. But its excellent if you want to b around the Academic City area where there are many universities located, almost walking distance from the hotel.
Booked a single room which was bigger than I expected, comfortable bed, complimentary mineral water replenished daily, water kettle with complimentary coffee and tea, and air conditioning was functional; the safe didn’t work but fortunately I didn’t urgently need it, and no hairdryer was provided; breakfast was ok, reception staff said I could get a business invoice upon check-out but for some reason they couldn’t give it to me and just said they will email it to me. Location was fine considering my conference was at the university close to the hotel, but unfortunately it was far from downtown.
We had to stay at best western in academic city for business.
The area is literally in the desert there's nothing around you.
I got an upgrade to the deluxe room which is spatious comparing to the standard & executive one. But the main problem in this hotel is the bathroom and apparently All the rooms have the same problem. When you shower the whole bathroom will be flooded. We had to stay for a week so this was not practical at all we asked the staff to give us a whipper as a solution but still it is a main inconvenient process. I would really thank the staff at the reception all of them day and night shift they were very cooperative for the bathroom issue and very friendly
