"Wonderful 19th century inn! We had a spacious corner room with pullout sofa. We enjoyed sitting out on the beautiful balcony. Comfortable, relaxing, quiet stay. As long as you are not expecting a modern, chain-brand property, and have a car, you will enjoy this place! Note, The Old Inn is almost 2 miles from the delicious breakfast spot and about a 16 minute drive to Great Barrington, which is the closest town. "This was one of the best motels I've stayed in. Normally motels are older and musty. This was very bright, no smell. White bathroom was very clean. Comfortable bed. It's set a little back on the main road. Because it was cool, we turned off the AC and opened the rear window. It was quiet. Check in/out was easy. Reasonable for the area. Highly recommend."

"My sister and I and her husband had a very nice stay. The rooms are very nice and very clean. We enjoyed an excellent breakfast every morning. I highly recommend Wilder House!"

"We love the Red Lion. And had two excellent meals around our trips to Tanglewood concerts. We stayed at the Stevens house room 184. Sunny, sweet, fridge downstairs was helpful to store picnic items/wine. But the bed is soft and the bathtub was plastic insert which was unexpected for the cost per night, but more so the smell of mildew. "

"Read reviews about checking in & was worried. I had no problem. Called the phone # - lady answered right away. Walked me through the payment & key card process & I was done & in my room in 5 minutes. She gave us a different room & it was clean & looked like all new bathroom and curtains. We'll definitely stay here again"

"We returned to the Chambery Inn to celebrate my wife's birthday and the Memorial Day weekend. We were very happy with our choice. We stayed in a beautiful room (203), which included a spacious sitting area and a well-appointed bath. The breakfast were nicely prepared and presented. The Inn provided timely information prior and during our stay. We will be back in the future. "
