"We have stayed at this location 3 times now and this time was good but we did see a cockroach dead in our bathroom which concerned me and made me uneasy about staying there but it was graduation weekend and another hotel room would be hard to get on short notice. There were some broken windows blinds in what I assumed to be a managers personal room which doesn't reflect a good image on the company and employees. As I looked around I could see a lot of quick short cuts to upgrades like leaving open holes around plumbing and quick foam insulation around air units in rooms that could have been covered up somehow. The lighting in the room overall was not great either. Overall the hotel was good for a quick weekend for an event but due to the roach I saw I will not be back."

"This hotel is clean, affordable & close to the MSU campus. The rooms are quite small & it can get pretty cozy with more than one person in the room. The beds are comfortable & the towels are nice. We stayed 2 nights and there was no housekeeping to freshen the room & bath supplies or empty the trash. The continental breakfast was pretty good and there was plenty of seating in the lobby area to visit with others in our party. The walls are pretty thin, but it's not a problem if your neighbors are not loud. Overall, for the price, it's a pretty good option."

"We had the best stay at the Walnut st Inn. Walking distance to everything we needed. The room by was amazing. The staff was second to none. Would absolutely recommend this inn. Oh! And the breakfast was superb!"

"All aspects of the Bass Anglers Lodge were just as we expected. Friendly staff, spotless room, great breakfast and comfy bed! Couldn't ask for more. We will definitely stay again when we are back in the Springfield area!"

"We didn’t get breakfast because we did not realize that there was an opportunity to do that. Nobody explained how that process worked. We did ask about it at check-in and then she forgot to explain. We noticed that there was nothing in the room that identified it so we just didn’t order any and we went to a restaurant around the corner. Which was a little frustrating because I did pick this hotel with the idea that we could get breakfast in the morning. The second thing that was just a little frustrating was we came into a new hotel new room and the faucet to the shower continually fell off luckily you were able to push it back in to get the water to turn on, but it continually would fall off out of the wall, making a very loud clinking noise. I did tell the staff when I checked out, but they didn’t seem to really care. I have pictures of it and plan to leave a longer review on the website for the cost of the hotel and all the amenities that said it provided I was kind of a little unhappy with a few of the things that were listed. I also do not like the $15 additional parking fee. I feel like that should be absolutely listed on the website so that you know what you’re up against. It sure felt like the front desk person was slipping that in without getting an opportunity to say no. Again little frustration with this."

"Greeted warmly right away, and the room was so clean and comfortable! The breakfast was lovely (even though they did have yogurt coming out of a machine which I hate) but it even included gluten-free bagels!! I have never seen that before at a hotel breakfast and I was very thankful! Didn’t use the pool but it looked nice. There is no coffee in the room but it’s just right downstairs at breakfast (tea as well). The ONLY negative thing I noticed was that the ice buckets were single use. From an environmental standpoint that is lame. Overall highly recommend this place!"
