"If you’re going to something on the UofA campus, this is the place to stay. Staff is nice and rooms are good. My only issue was they playing music early in the breakfast area and my room was right next to that area. It was if they were playing it inside my room. The staff was nice but told me management dictated the time it has to be turned on and what the column has to be set with. I’ll make sure I don’t stay in a room close by."

"The bathroom was not very functional. There is no counterspace to put toothbrushes, hair dryer, makeup, medication, etc. The sink is slanted and stand alone so if you even try to put anything next to the faucet it just slides down into to the sink. So the only place to put anything is the back of the toilet. They could easily put a table in the bathroom, it was well big enough. They had an entire kitchen including a full size fridge but nowhere to put your toiletries in the bathroom! Overall,...

"Beautifully restored facility. I loved being able to stay in this historic building and learning about its role in the UofA’s past. I think every alumni should visit if not stay there.
My only knock was the desk clerk’s condescending comment when we checked in about “How everybody knows about the hotel brunch/bar/restaurants” when I asked about the difference between them and making reservations. "The room smelled really bad had to go buy spray to disinfect. The tub was awfull caulk around the top of the tub was all cracked and looked terrible. The tub had been painted and the paint was peeling off. There was cob webs on the ceiling in the bed area. The couch was nasty looking all stained. Must be and old hotel. It needs a lot of work. Definitely not worth 400.00 a night. I’ll find something else next time."
