"Our room was very clean. Decor is mountain cabin rustic. Bathroom was very modern. One problem. Our room had a window on the door and the outside lights were too bright for sleeping. We had to cover the window with a towel. To that effect, I will say that the outside area is very well lit and we felt secure. The grounds were a bit dirty. "This is a very well-maintained older property that is convenient to central Blowing Rock. You could park here and enjoy the town without driving. Although close in, it was quiet. The manager was very attentive and helpful in making suggestions for dining. The room was fairly small, but neat and clean. It's not fancy by Blowing Rock standards, but it had everything I needed. "This is a cute little chalet. It slept the four of us just fine. Just a couple of issues, baby mothes throughout, back burner is burnt out on stove, light bulb was burned out upstairs, and overall the decor feels dated except for the new sofa. Also, outdoor chairs were dirty and filled with spider webs."
