"Im not sure that anyone wants to hear this but it has to be said. Overall the Moxy was well cared for and clean. Yet when I lifted the pillow there was an extra member in our room. Yes, it was dead and yes I did bring i to their attention. My only request was to please have the room double checked and linens changed. Left for graduation only to come back to find that it hadnt been done but the staff was in the hallway so I gave them the benefit of the doubt that it would be taken care of before we get back from our afternoon out. Got home at 830pm and it was not dealt with and of course the cleaning staff was gone. Never again and we go to Springfield often since our son is there. The beds are horrible. My husband and I didnt sleep well and he woke up with hip and back pain. There is nowhere to sit other than your bed. You can hear everything that goes on in the rooms next to you. So if you are looking for a romantic place avoid this place like the plague. Coffee is fabulous and didn't try the food. "

"The room was old and filthy. No breakfast service except at the snack shop, where two breakfast sandwiches and two cups of coffee were outrageous. Only one person working in there on one of your busiest days of the year. You should be ashamed to charge that price for a night for this dump. When I made my reservation through Expedia, they advertised a breakfast buffet. So much for that. Expedia needs to drop your hotel. you're giving them a bad name."

"This hotel is clean, affordable & close to the MSU campus. The rooms are quite small & it can get pretty cozy with more than one person in the room. The beds are comfortable & the towels are nice. We stayed 2 nights and there was no housekeeping to freshen the room & bath supplies or empty the trash. The continental breakfast was pretty good and there was plenty of seating in the lobby area to visit with others in our party. The walls are pretty thin, but it's not a problem if your neighbors are not loud. Overall, for the price, it's a pretty good option."

"We had the best stay at the Walnut st Inn. Walking distance to everything we needed. The room by was amazing. The staff was second to none. Would absolutely recommend this inn. Oh! And the breakfast was superb!"

"Greeted warmly right away, and the room was so clean and comfortable! The breakfast was lovely (even though they did have yogurt coming out of a machine which I hate) but it even included gluten-free bagels!! I have never seen that before at a hotel breakfast and I was very thankful! Didn’t use the pool but it looked nice. There is no coffee in the room but it’s just right downstairs at breakfast (tea as well). The ONLY negative thing I noticed was that the ice buckets were single use. From an environmental standpoint that is lame. Overall highly recommend this place!"

"When choosing this motel, remember it is a motel that have all the “nuances” of local a motel. While there, someone was smoking “medicinal” drugs, there was an argument outside my door. I enjoyed the entertainment at 12:00pm at night, just not at my hotel ."
