"The best lodge in our 11 nights trip to Gokyo. Staff was exellent and the owner of the place woke up at 4 am twice to make some coffee for us. Also rooms in this lodge were warmer than other lodges were we stayed."

There is no sink and no shower in the “private bathroom.” The advertised “hot shower” is a communal hot shower next to the dining room. The western toilet and sinks are also communal. "I stayed here for 4 weeks between 2 trips to Everest Base Camp. It was a perfect base for exploring the surrounding Khumbu region and Namche village. My hosts were friendly and went out of their way to make sure I was well fed, cared for and recovering from my adventures. The rooms were clean, the food great and atmosphere welcoming. I hope to return one day and stay there again."

They’re nice people and the tea house is similar to others on the Gokyo Trek, but they should not be advertising it as a 3* hotel with private bathroom on Expedia."
