Hotel Sigiriya

"We had a great stay at Hotel Sigiriya! The views of Sigiriya Rock were beautiful, and we really enjoyed the breakfast. Our room was on the smaller side, but it was comfortable enough for our stay. The pool looked lovely as well, although unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to use it. There were two disappointments during our stay. First, before arriving, I contacted the hotel management to request a simple birthday surprise—a decorated room with a “Happy Birthday” message and a small cake. The hotel acknowledged the request, and I even noticed it written in the corner of our check-in paperwork. Unfortunately, the request was overlooked and the surprise never happened. It was a missed opportunity to make an already wonderful stay truly special. Hopefully, they can follow through next time! The second disappointment was on our second day. The cleaning staff made an elephant out of towels and placed it on our bed. When we dismantled it to use the towels, we realized that they appeared to be our previously used towels. We found this quite concerning and unsanitary, especially since used towels had been arranged and placed directly on the bed. Despite these issues, we had a lovely overall stay, enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, and appreciated the friendly service. With a little more attention to these details, the hotel could make the experience truly exceptional. We would consider staying again and hope for an even better experience next time."

"The staff were amazing and went above and beyond. They offered tips and always wanted to help to give us the best stay. The breakfast was incredible, there was a huge variety include rotors, fruit, pancakes, hoppers smoothies and curried dishes. The rooms were lovely with a ‘jungle feel’ with the well planted garden that the verandas looked over, complete with swings and regular seating for relaxing. This is 100% on the return list-i can’t recommend it highly enough."

"Stayed here for 1 night but it was absolutely delightful! The staff was very hospitable, the amenities were great, lication of the hotel relative to the touristy attractions was fantastic, breakfast was on point, room was decent sized and clean too. Gave us nothing to complain about. 10/10 and would highly recommend."

"Listen people- this place is AMAZING!!! Like living in a dream, not less. It is isolated from any noise, in the nature. If we only knew, we would stay there for a week minimum! The rooms are so special that I can’t describe- beautiful, air conditioned and comfortable. Breakfast was great and the staff was really amazing. When you book a room, contact the property and book also the village tour & safari. You will get a great full day package. I will definitely go back there!"

"From the moment we arrived at Jungle Eco Lodge & Safari, we were made to feel completely at home. Kumari and her husband, Neshanta, went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. They were incredibly kind and caring towards our children, making them feel so welcome from day one. The homemade Sri Lankan breakfast was absolutely delicious, with fresh fruit picked from the beautiful trees surrounding the lodge, which Kumari uses in her cooking. The setting is peaceful and full of wildlife. Right from our doorstep we saw monkeys, lizards, cows, and even a tiny baby frog, which our children loved. They also arranged transport for us whenever we needed it, whether by tuk-tuk or jeep, making it easy to visit nearby restaurants just five minutes away or explore the local attractions. One of the highlights of our stay was watching their children become such good friends with ours. It made the whole experience feel like staying with family rather than at a hotel. You simply won't find a more welcoming, kind, or accommodating family. Their genuine hospitality and attention to every detail made our holiday so special. If you're looking for an authentic Sri Lankan experience surrounded by nature and hosted by people who truly care about their guests, we can't recommend Jungle Eco Lodge & Safari highly enough. We will treasure the memories we made here and hope to return one day."

"A very beautiful property tucked inside a jungle. We had a wonderful stay in a tree house and loved waking up with the birds chirping in the trees. Staff was very helpful throughout our entire stay. The lion rock is only 15 mins away."
Hotel Sudu Araliya

"Sudu Araliya is located on the banks of the Parakrama Samudraya. It’s extensive gardens offer a peaceful place for relaxation. There is a very nice and sturdy tree house with a couple of benches and tables. A lovely place for children to play and adults to relax. Rooms and bathrooms were spacious and clean. Staff was friendly and attentive and our requests were taken care of promptly. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet with many typical Sri Lankan foods. We only spent one night there but planning to return for a 2-3 night stay. Would definitely recommend staying there."
