"Loved Portree and this hotel. Our only suggestion would be to book dining reservations in advance. We BARELY got in for dinner after trying 5-6 restaurants as a walk-up. And this was early in the season (3rd week of April). The brunch at the hotel is great, but I'd also book that early if you want an early start out on the trails."

"I was on the Isle of Skye for three days and stayed here two nights. The staff are hard-working and helped to make it an enjoyable stay. This place is about a 15min walk out of the downtown area. I liked that the people staying there were from all over Europe and the rest of the world. I had one dinner there and two breakfasts. "We had a fantastic stay at Taigh Duitseach in April 2024. Checking in was very easy, the property was lovely and clean, the breakfast was exceptional and lovingly cooked in front of us by Jim and Paulline who were very kind and welcoming.
