"Very close to the airport with a free airport shuttle service, which is a big plus. However, the evening reception staff seemed overwhelmed during my stay, and I often had to wait a while before my concerns were addressed. Unfortunately, my room had several issues. It was quite cold as the heater wasn’t working, the UK power outlet didn’t function, and when I reported it, I was advised to charge my devices in the dining area instead. The kettle in the room was also not working. A light English breakfast is provided, along with free tea and coffee in the dining area. I did feel safe throughout my stay, which was reassuring. As expected from a hotel close to the airport, there is noticeable airplane noise. The property itself is quite dated and could benefit from some upgrades."

"Unfortunately, my stay was disappointing due to several maintenance and service issues. The bathroom sink was clogged, and I couldn’t even brush my teeth without the water backing up, which was extremely unpleasant. The shower head was also not functioning properly, making it difficult to have a proper shower. Additionally, I ordered wings as a snack, and they were quite poor in quality—definitely not what I expected. Overall, these issues significantly affected my experience. I hope the hotel addresses these concerns to improve future guest stays. "

"The room shown on the app isn’t what we get, literally a downgrade. The noise was unbearable slept at 2pm because guests had a party (more than 10pm), reception refused to deal with it. The staff train in the gym area while guest use the pool or have to go change for the spa. Those guys would stop and stare . Never going back to that place. "

"My recent stay at The Pivot Hotel was an exceptional experience from arrival to departure. We have always loved the vibrant energy of the Montecasino complex. Located in the heart of Fourways, it serves as a serene Mediterranean-inspired escape from the Johannesburg bustle. The Venetian-style architecture and the tranquil lake views create a unique "resort" feel. It’s a relief to step out of the high-energy casino environment and into the calm, sophisticated lobby of The Pivot.As always my room was spacious and spotless. The bedding was high-quality, and I particularly appreciated the welcome gift that had been left in the room for us. The staff were attentive from check-in to departure. Being just a short walk across the bridge to Montecasino is a huge plus. It provides easy access to world-class dining, theaters, and entertainment without the noise of the casino floor reaching your room. Breakfast at Punchinello’s was a standout. The variety of the buffet was impressive, and the terrace seating is the best way to start a morning in South Africa. We unfortunately only had the one night and had to move to our next destination. For those looking for a great hotel , the Pivot offers a level of quiet luxury that is hard to beat in the area. I would definitely return."
