"The helpfulness of the staff, the support, the protectiveness , were all above and beyond expectations. We really liked the hotel, and its location about half way between Livingstone town and Victoria Falls. Several malls and restaurants are a short walk away. We do recommend the Protea- it’s a great option if the ultra pricey riverfront lodges or the further away town options don’t work for you. Very good breakfast options too! Also very cool to see zebras randomly walking down the hotel...

"Rude front desk checking in and out. Tried to charge me for someone else's drinks, and continued to argue after I showed my receipt. Room design is clunky and could be dangerous for people who are not extra careful ie stairs INSIDE the rooms. "We arrived later in evening. Property was poorly lit. The paths to our room hardly had any lighting. During the night the power kept going out. The next morning,we went to get breakfast before we left for the day. The information in the room says 6:30 am. They wouldn't let me sit in the room.
