Staff & Service: The staff were warm, attentive, and went out of their way to make our stay special. Facilities: Everything felt well cared for, from the lodge amenities to the outdoor areas. Surroundings: The reserve itself is breathtaking—quiet, scenic, and full of unique rock formations. It’s a great base for stargazing, hikes, and soaking in the natural beauty. Highlights: Stargazing under the clear night sky was unforgettable. The guided nature walks gave us a deeper appreciation of the local wildlife and history. Dining options were varied and delicious, fresh with a nice balance of local flavors. Travel notes: Kagga Kamma is located about three hours’ drive from Cape Town, so plan ahead for the journey. The nearest town is roughly an hour and a half away, making the reserve very secluded. This adds to the tranquility, but it’s worth preparing for the remoteness."

The room was beautful, and the breakfast was delicious with plenty of cooked to order choices, and I will miss dining next to the fire in the evenings - the chef was amazing!
