"The resort itself was stunning. Beautiful pools, a variety of restaurants to choose from or order food and drinks by the pool. You can do as much or as little as you want. Activities galore for families, kids and people travelling without kids. Tour desk was especially helpful and we booked a jet boat day trip, Malamala Beach Club day trip offering snorkelling or just lazing by the beach or your private pool area. A sunset cruise, jet skiing and a massage and facials at the in-house spa. Get in...

"Need 24hr room service for ppl who miss out on meal times if out doing activities and breakfast needs to have more standard westernised foods.,our whole stay nobody used the adult only pool as it was freezing cold an for some reason the kids pool had a swim up bar ,where the adult pool had nothing but deck chairs.,great idea to swap the areas as its very odd for a kids pool to have a swim up bar when adult pool has nothing. One last thing we noticed was between eating times you couldn't order...

The room itself is very nice with pretty much every single one of them having a balcony, as well as working air-conditioning, and very nice showers (robes included!)"

"A bit run down, nobody really there to serve guests. My bill was $1000 more than what we actually spent in 2 day stay, it took an hour for them to correct the $1900 extra they charged for a “helicopter ride” that never happened or was ordered. They never gave me my final bill at all and made me pay to leave on the boat. Pretty awful service but a pretty island."

The place was spotless, the scenery was beautiful, and the food was amazing. We honestly couldn’t recommend this place enough!"

"Fantastic place to stay, but not close To shopping for clothing and souvenirs. There are 2 small shops on the resort But not much to choose from. Staff is wonderful and nice to know they have a medical clinic on site if you need it! Very well kept property and the food was great’ Bula Bula!!"

"Customer Service and porters need to have some courtesy... My experience..firstly at the restaurant we waited about 45mns to 1hr for the lunch to come thru... 2ndly..my checkout....I was told to wait at the foyer for my luggage...receptionist forgot to tell the porter until approached her again after 25-30mns... I had to return a rental car before I board my flight.... There are still areas need to be strengthened otherwise I'm ok.... As I'm a regular visitor back to Fiji...and Gateway is...

"Great place to stay for holidaygoers who'd like to just relax at the resort -the beach is private but unsuitable for snorkeling and other water based recreation. The staff were very friendly. Activities at the resort and entertainment every night were fantastic. Convenient stay if tours are booked with resort transfers."

"That staff were very sweet, though other than that I did not like the property. The pool would be green sometimes, the food was not the best, there would be bugs in the room sometimes, the property overall was very run down. Traveling as a uni student I would not recommend. Not much to do there. Again, staff were extremely welcoming and sweet though that was about it. Ended up having to leave a day early. Definitely will not be coming back to that resort"
