"This place is heaven on earth. The rooms are large and stunningly well decorated. The staff is amazing. It's run like a high end game safari destination. Lots to see on the property's large private reserve. You won't find the diversity and huge numbers of game available in Kruger, Botswana, Namibia, etc. This is more of a place for people who have already had their serious safari experience and are looking for a gorgeous property for rest and relaxing and feeling pampered."

"It’s a good 3 star hotel with lovely staff. With an injection of cash and more staff training (plenty available but lacking attention to detail) it could become a really good 4 star. The big let down was the poor shower and dated bathroom. But it’s one of those hotels that you just want to to do better "

"Such a beautiful location and the hotel could do so much better. Disappointing as the windows in the room were dirty so it ruined the beautiful view. Bathroom ceiling had a hole and sheets had stains. The outside and lounge areas are lovely. "

"Great location, beautiful sea view. Quiet place. Good breakfast and great a’ la carte menu, we had crayfish. Oysters and sushi just top. Staff took us on bird watching sail trip to Berg river. Can recommend. Spa should be upgraded (staff & ambience). Drinks at Oysterbar need improvement. We had a great stay. Thank you. "

"We enjoyed our stay at Thali Thali which was peaceful and quiet. The staff were especially friendly, welcoming and very responsive. Our accommodation was comfortable but some of the fixtures and fittings could probably do with refurbishment. All in all a very happy stay. "

"Lovely lodge right on the beach. Quaint lodge rooms were very comfortable but ceilings are slopped so not good if you are tall. Brilliant shower but getting a little worn, still loved it. Food on the premises good and reasonable, friendly staff."

"Loved the hotel, we were there for one night, check in was extremely smooth, the room was very pretty – loved the complimentary sherry and fruit in the room, and we had a wonderful view of the sea. Breakfast was awesome, cheese, fruit, yoghurt and a full cooked breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful, and overall, it was a great experience. "Overall the property was what we expected. Ideal for two persons, doing local daytrips. Basic, safe, clean with a small kitchen, equipped for 2 persons. Clean linen and a comfortable double bed. Typical the apartments one would find in Europe. We did not use the loose blanket on the bed, but it is in need of a wash."
