"I’ll have to say that the location of the hotel is very good and the views are fabulous from most rooms. In the end it was pretty good value for the money, but it definitely wasn’t perfect.
The staff was mediocre, and other than one of the receptionists who helped me a few times, never smiling once, the others barely looked you in the eye or said hello, or smiled at all. It’s mid-October, and the only cover in the whole room for the bed was a plain white sheet and nothing else anywhere. I had to go down and ask at the front desk for a simple blanket. Not an additional blanket, the first one in the room at all. I’ve never seen this in any other hotel.
I travel a lot for my business and one of the things I weigh highly when rating a hotel is on their breakfast and it was one of the worst I’ve ever had. Many of the guests were talking about it and complaining, but at 8 o’clock in the morning when breakfast started (8-10 am), they would put out upwards of three dozen fried eggs in the slightly heated table and leave them there for the next two hours, never to be freshened or replenished. And at least one time I was at breakfast, I stayed for six days, the eggs were literally ice cold at 8:06 AM. Just terrible. It was like mush by 9 AM because everyone’s digging in this huge pile of cold, fried eggs.
Next time I’m in Sarandë, I’ll try another hotel."
