"The check-in process was a bit tedious, but that was due to Expedia, not the hotel. To keep a positive experience, the hotel staff was very kind and upgraded us to a beautiful room. We were a family of four, including a 7-year-old child, and each of us had our own bed and private bathroom, which was excellent. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, from the front desk staff to the waiters, and especially the bar staff. The entertainment was excellent; the girl who organized the karaoke had great charisma and energy. The weather was on our side, with sunny days throughout our stay. The food at the Blue Lagoon restaurant was delicious . we absolutely loved it. The entire resort staff is humble, respectful, and very kind. Recommendations: • I didn’t really like the “guagua” shuttle; I think a large golf cart would look better and feel more comfortable. • At the bars, drinks were often served in plastic cups, which takes away from the presentation. However, at the beach they used nicer cups, and we were able to take great photos there."

"We stayed there from 12/07 to 12/13. The staff was super friendly and they’re working hard! Everyone is smiling and trying to help you. The rooms were cleaned everyday Entertainment shows were great and fun! Overall great resort. The ceiling fan needed to be fixed and the staff member fixed it the same day within an hour, Cute little resort , adults only. Would highly recommend it to my friends. "

"Where do I begin to express my delight at finding this beautiful resort at the suggestion of a friend the day before I arrived. I found the beautiful king size bed too hard for me, but I slept on the futon quite comfortably, and the housekeeping noticed and continued to make up that bed for me instead. The mediterránean and Brazilian dinners were excellent, and all meals were quite enjoyable. Staff were so friendly and very helpful. Even calling to check on me after I had arrived in my room to see if everything was all right. The decir is a little bit dated, but does not attract from the enjoyment of this lovely resort. It actually reminds me of a Grand Bahia Principe I stayed at last winter! I will definitely recommend Marien to my friends, and hopefully be back someday myself. Muchas gracias!"

"My wife and I enjoyed a lot. Everything was good so far, the staff was amazing the food, the services me the timeframe response for any needs we had was solved very fast. Would like to mention the amazing service of Andres ( in the main bar of the tropical pool), very attentive, polite and professional in his area. From guest services ( Annel and Angelica Hernandez both they were the ones helping us with some little issues we had on the first day, action that increased a lot our experience). We would definitely comeback. "
