"I was shocked with staff attitude at front desk: lazy "

"We stayed in the standard triple room with kitchen (room 6). The property is centrally located and also very convenient for the Bus Sur bus terminal. Our room on the first floor was light, spacious and quiet. The host was friendly and welcoming and as our room was ready when we arrived, we were able to check in 3 hours ahead of the usual check in time for which we were very grateful. As we were leaving early morning on both days we were provided with a very good “breakfast to go bag” in lieu of taking breakfast at the property which we greatly appreciated. Our only issue was with our room -the kitchen in particular and in some respects the bathroom were very “tired” and in urgent need of a refresh / refurbishment - dirty and heavily scuffed doors, rusting radiator etc see photos. The bedroom was fine and appeared to have been more recently painted. In spite of these shortcomings we enjoyed our stay. "

"This hotel is very central. I chose it for its proximity to the departure point for my Viator tours - just a short 5 minute walk away. It is a charming and lovely hotel with a great bar and restaurant. It's theme is around the Antarctic explorer Ernest Shackleton which gave it an old-fashioned, old-worldy feel of sophistication and elegance. The room was very comfortable with modern amenities though there was no air conditioning but a window that opened kept the room comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful and all of them spoke English - if you know a little Spanish you might find that helpful though. This is a hub for Silver Seas, so there was a lot of coming and going activity of large groups, but that did not inconvenience me at all. The food was very good at the restaurant. A very central location - puts you in the heart of the city and a short walk to the ocean. I enjoyed my stay very much. "

"Ariel at front desk was very nice, the room was clean. The location was pretty central to everything we wanted to do but not pretty by any stretch The breakfast was pretty good and the staff friendly. The bad was the smallest shower I have ever seen, and it leaked no matter how we tried to adjust the shower curtain. It smelled humid and the tv didn’t work properly which is not huge if you’re there to explore. Not bad"
