"The Fes medina is a sensory buffet of smells, beautiful craftwork, people and sounds. This homestay (Expedia should not really classify it as a hotel) was an authentic medina experience and made us feel like residents of the old town during our 3-night stay. The staff, which consisted of four teen boys, was very hospitable, walking us through the winding maze of alleys when we needed guiding. The room was cozy, and I mean cozy as in comfortable as well as small for a family of 4. The shower pressure was a dribble but it was still refreshing after a sweltering journey through the markets. The beds and bedding were comfortable. Crucially, the AC worked great. This is not a luxury hotel, but it’s great value if you are looking for something memorable."
