"The area in Vio is challenging. The staff was polite and professional. The booking did not show up and the rate paid for was not what expected. From the site it appeared to be a nice place and probably it was 20 years ago. The bug netting in room was not in good shape. AC was a fan and had to share bathroom. "Just wonderful. You will not find this level of service even in Mombasa and Nairobi hotels. The staff is amazing as are the culinary creations from the on-site restraunt. There is nothing I can say negative about this experience. In the jungle living like a king. To those who expect National Geographic please set your sites lower. While you will see plenty of African animals the king of the jungle is elusive."

"From the moment we arrived at Salt Lick Safari Resort, we knew we were in for something special. Checking in and immediately seeing an elephant drinking water up close was a moment of true healing and set the tone for our entire stay. The grounds of the resort are gorgeous, and our room had an amazing view of the watering hole, providing constant wildlife viewing right from our balcony. The staff were super friendly and incredibly accommodating throughout our visit. We enjoyed several game drives, but the Bushdown Dinner was the greatest experience of my life! Being warmly greeted by a local tribe and burning a lot of calories dancing was unforgettable. Overall, I highly recommend Salt Lick Safari Resort, especially if you want the chance to see animals up close and personal. It's a truly unique and unforgettable escape."
