Walking distance from both the Hohenschwangau and (a bit further) Neuschwanstein castles. About 40 mins walk each to the towns of Schwangau and Fussen; there's various good museums in the latter. "My daughter and I were immediately smitten by the external and internal decoration of the hotel before we even reached the reception. Check-in went quickly, we dropped off our luggage, and headed walked into town for dinner where there were we found a nice place to eat.
