"I like the historic home atmosphere. The new owners have made improvements to make guests feel more at home. The breakfast was very good, not too fancy. If you have mobility issues, this might not be the place for you. Most rooms are upstairs (narrow staircase). The shared bathroom is small and has a clawfoot tub on a raised platform. We only stay one night when we stay here because my husband can't get in the tub. But that is what you get when you stay in a historic house. We love it here."

"The lodge is more like a hostel in that the bathroom and shower is down the hall from your room. However you have your own private bathroom and shower which are keyed to your room. Be careful not to leave your key in the bathroom or shower since those doors lock without using a key. Overall very clean and comfortable. There are no staff at the desk. It is managed by staff at another motel"

"LOVED IT! Perfect for our family of 4 (1 King, 1 Queen & pull-out sofa). Beautiful remodel of a historical building - still had the Old Wild West feel, but modern. Only 3 rooms with an open communal sitting room (no TV, no front desk). Quiet and relaxing with AMAZING views. The one staff member we saw was super nice and helpful with local recommendations. Just can't say enough good things about this place - probably the best hotel I've ever stayed in. Wish we could have stayed longer and definitely will be back!"
