"I truly have no idea how this hotel has so many 10/10 ratings. Maybe people literally want a bed and nothing else matters.
The room: Upon walking into our room, we were greeted by a strong, dirty, musty smell. The carpets were stained and dirty, the walls were scraped and scuffed. Every single furniture surface was scratched, dented, water damaged, and/or peeling. There was severe water damage and discoloration on the ceiling, probably two feet across. "The reception staff were not friendly at all. Room was located in a building about 1/10 of a mile down the road from the main hotel. No assistance with luggage. No amenities in that building, however, the room was clean and very large. Be warned, there is NO air conditioning in the rooms. We were there mid-June and it was over 80°F in the room when we went to sleep! No top sheets, just a heavy comforter, seems to be a Europe thing."

"This is a beautiful castle hotel overlooking the Rhine. The hotel and rooms are immaculate. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is excellent. The location is great if you have a car otherwise the train is fairly convenient but a long walk down the hill. The castle museum located on the property is amazing.
Our room, while very pretty, was very small with no air conditioning. I would suggest requesting a room on the first floor because of this as well as there is no elevator. ...
