"Our room was a drab, concrete box that required you to turn sideways and edge your way around the bed. Less a boutique hotel, than a no-frill motel without parking. Ok, but seriously overpriced for what it was."

The breakfast in the morning was consistent and just perfect for people who wanted to have something quick.And then get on with their day. The coffee was super hot, and the staff was very, very nice. "Clean comfortable and quiet with very helpful and friendly staff. They were new managers but tried their best to steer us to local sights. Paid hot breakfast eggs sausage bagels and more available for $8+tax. Recommended. Also, close to Cavendish Beach, Anne of Green Gables center and walking distance to The Lost Anchor for excellent fish n chips. The house itself has close ties to LMM's story. Recommend highly."

"This hotel sorely needs an update. The poor condition creates a terrible first impression, from the weedy lawn, the dead plants at the front door, the dirty entrance doors. We discussed leaving but persevered. The poor condition of furnishings continues to the room itself, soiled and very shabby chairs ( we wouldn’t sit in them), worn furniture with some missing handles, poor lighting. The room seemed otherwise clean, the bed was quite comfortable and the room had an iron/ board and fridge. It...

"A good over night place"

"Great alternative to a motel or hotel. 2 bedrooms and a kitchette so you can cook yourself if you want with the free dishes and utensils simply by asking. Close to downtown and ease of highways going east or west. Breakfast was good as any cold breakfast at another motel. Staff was great and helpful. Definitely worth staying here. I recommend it highly."

"The Dundee Arms is a beautiful building and the rooms were very generous in size! The rooms were clean. It was in a convenient location and made getting out for sightseeing easy. Our room faced the back of the building and while quiet most of the time, the building across the parking lot gets early morning deliveries so we were woken up each day by the 0400-0500ish delivery times. We did have our window open which wouldn't help the noise but we needed them open as it was warm in the room....
